Rough for a Habitat christmas card, 30 years ago? Getting distracted in my old studio as I hang the grow lights and turn it into our grow room. Preparing for the seed sowing frenzy that'll see 25,000+ seedlings emerge blinking into this year's unpredictable spring. Hope it's not as snowy as this!

We said goodbye to a dear old friend and neighbour yesterday. I can't match the eloquence of @helenstickland's recent eulogy to her in her last days. She was one of a kind, scatty, spry, engaged and full of life til the very end. In a not untroubled life, she worked as a chef with some very famous names but to us she was a caring, loving, thoughtful friend and much loved member of our community. Her last months were truly inspiring. Her troubles fell away and she was able to make her peace with the world. She was constantly thrilled to see the flower farm grow and was always popping over to show her friends. Gathered, as she wished, from her exuberantly overplanted garden and the countryside around, I hope her flowers reflected her delightfully lively, informal and gently wild life. RIP Annie xx
Still planting Tulips! Another thousand or so going in, couldn't resist. Lovely sunshine but cold fingers, cold knees...
