We love to use homemade simple syrups at The Kahala as they are a great way to enhance any beverage from your morning tea to evening cocktails. Use 1 part ginger juice and 2 parts white sugar. Use a juice extractor to juice freshly chopped ginger. Warm the juice on the stovetop, but do not boil. Use an immersion blender to dissolve all of the sugar, or slowly add sugar into juice until dissolved. Viola!
