Go harder for #BreonnaTaylor. • It’s been 103 days since three plain clothes officers executed Breonna Taylor in her bed. They broke into her apartment in the middle of the night, with a “no-knock” warrant, looking for someone who did not live in her apartment complex. Someone who was ALREADY IN CUSTODY. Nevertheless they broke down Breonna and her boyfriend Kenneth’s door. Kenneth thought it was a robbery, grabbed his gun — the #2A folks who say you have the right to a gun in your own to protect yourself have been SILENT on this. And that silence in deafening — and fired a warning shot at the burglars. The burglars were unidentified officers, and they sprayed the apartment with 20 bullets. 8 of them hit Bri. She was 26. She was an award-winning EMT. One of the folks we call “essential.” To the people she knew, who were l you enough to love her, whose stories you can read in @teenvogue, she was ALWAYS essential. @jamilksmith wrote an article with that title, in fact, for @rollingstone. • Why are we not demanding justice? Why haven’t the officers been charged?? The officers who did not identify themselves as officers. The officers who fired 20 bullets at two people in bed? Why is justice for her life not “essential??” This young woman spent her days saving lives, on the frontlines of #COVID-19, and she died in her bed at the hands of the police. None of this is normal. None of this is okay. We need to go harder for Breonna. Period. *ACTION ITEMS — numbers to call, emails to write — IN THE SLIDES* #SayHerName

Thank you @estelledarlings for this important reminder 🙏🏻 My world is not THE world. Your world is not THE world. Everything is not about me or you.

Happy Birthday Breonna ! Your life mattered ! Today would have been #breonnataylor ‘s 27th Birthday. Instead she was indiscriminately killed in the middle of the night, in her own bed, by the Louisville Metro Police.. It has been 84 days and those responsible for her murder have NOT been held accountable in any way. Just because there isn’t a video doesn’t mean that we can turn a blind eye and forget or move on. Please ask Justice for her !! Sign petitions, tell her story, donate... make noise !! #justiceforbreonnataylor #sayhername Art by @gracieleeart
