I know it's almost Christmas but I'm not quite done with fall yet! I just wanted to share some fall happenings from life and around the farm on my blog. So if you're interested in seeing a few photos of my girl #PepperAnn, our newest critters, and my annual client porch party, click the temporary link in my profile 😉
Good morning, Monday. - This morning as I look through my Instagram feed at all the beautiful, curated photos I'm feeling so very ordinary and unorganized. - I haven't posted on Instagram or blogged for over a month (so bad for business 🙈) We aren't setting up a Christmas tree or sending out a card this year. My dog has worms. There's still pumpkins on my front porch 😬I can't remember the last time I cooked a real meal. There's about 10 loads of dirty laundry to do. I've been the worst at responding to texts and investing in relationships. I'm the farthest behind I've ever been on editing... - But as I think about the long list of ways I fall short, there's a longer list of blessings and I feel so very thankful for grace. Grace from my clients, friends, and above all Jesus. 💕
Seven years ago I met Alora when we randomly became roommates in Urbana, Illinois. About a year later, I took engagement photos for her and Aaron. It was probably about the third engagement session I'd ever done and I was so proud of it. - Last week, I flew to California and we saw each other for the first time in four years. I was slightly embarrassed and very touched to find they still have the first photos I took of them hanging all over their home. - Photographing Aaron, Alora, and their unborn daughter was such a special thing for me. They chose Yosemite as a location for both the beauty and the meaning it holds for them. I'm going to treasure the experience of taking these photos for a long time. 💕
Yesterday was magic... so excited for wedding number two today! 💕
Last night kicked off the festivities for Ryan & Sandy's wedding weekend... their families warmly welcomed me to the Sangeet and treated me like family. I'm so grateful for the kind and generous couples I get to photograph. Can't wait to keep celebrating this beautiful couple over the next couple days!
Yesterday was full of every perfect wedding detail. The flowers. Two stunning dresses. An incredible venue. And rain that stopped just at the right moment. But this, this was my favorite moment. - Sumith and Jaime’s wedding ceremony was among the most beautiful I’ve ever photographed. Not because of the perfect industrial venue, or the lights, or the beautiful bridal party, but the moments and the message. The pastor preached humility, the gospel, and true Christ like love. It was challenging, inspiring, and it touched my heart deeply. Tears fell from my eyes as I watched my couple worship together just before their vows. - These are two of the most beautiful hearts. I heard and witnessed stories all day of the way they serve and share Jesus with others. I could not be more happy for them or feel more grateful to have been a part of their day.
