It’s been a roller coaster week and I’m finding so much comfort in these lyrics today... - I'm not gonna be afraid 'Cause these waves are only waves I'm not gonna be afraid I'm not gonna be afraid I'm not gonna fear the storm You are greater than it's roar I'm not gonna fear the storm I'm not gonna fear at all - Peace be still Say the word and I will Set my feet upon the sea Till I'm dancing in the deep Oh peace be still You are here so it is well Even when my eyes can't see I will trust the voice that speaks
Fun fact: my senior year of college I needed a few more credit hours to graduate but was already done with the required classes for my degree, so @farmer_moo and I took figure skating! And I’m pretty sure it was the best class I ever took and the only one I ever got an A+ in. - What’s your favorite class you’ve ever taken?
Caught up on editing and laundry for the first time in a loooooong time! 🙌🏻 Great start to the weekend! - What small (or big) victories are you celebrating today?
As a photographer, there’s lots of things I say to my clients that I believe to be true… like: “Just embrace the wind” “Don’t worry about rain” “It’s ok if your clothes get dirty, it’s worth it” “Hold each other closer” “Your photo session will be fun” “These photos will be a reminder of how much you love each other” Yesterday, Garret and I had our photos taken by @schilling_photography and it was such a beautiful affirmation of how true it all is and why I do what I do. Like any typical guy, Garret wasn’t real excited about the session. Like any typical girl, I put way too much thought into making sure our outfits, my hair & makeup, and every detail was perfect. About 20 minutes into the session it began to rain harder and harder. We paused to wait it out, but when it didn’t stop, we decided to just go for it and finish in the rain. The temperature dropped significantly with the sudden weather change, but it just made us hold each other tighter. The wind and rain completely ruined my hair, but we just laughed at how soaked we were. We ran across the sandy, soggy ground and I forgot about trying to keep my dress clean. And yet, despite the unexpected rain, our session was magic. (it even ended in the most vibrant rainbow!) We walked away and haven’t been able to stop talking about how fun it was and the way it reminded us how much we love each other. Both of us got a little emotional looking at the images. So, no matter how old you are or how long you’ve been together… get some photos taken. Capture the moments. As cheesy as it sounds, I mean it. It’s worth it. Also, I can’t wait to hang these beautiful images on our walls cause #printyourphotos
Hey there! I’ve had some new followers lately so I wanted to introduce myself... I’m Danielle... wedding photographer, wife to Garret, dog mom to Pepper Ann, farmer, and most recently I became a “shepherd” 🐑 - My husband surprised me with sheep in June and it’s been so much fun. Maybe I sound crazy, but I love going out to the barn and spending time with them. The Bible mentions sheep more than any other animal, and even compares humans to sheep. The more I learn about them, I can see why. God is honestly teaching me more about myself and refining me through these wooly critters and I’m super thankful to have them around. - Also, “Bianca” (pictured here) is due any day with twin lambs and I’m sooo excited! - What’s your favorite animal you’ve ever owned (or you wish you owned)? - Shoutout to my girl @lauren_anderson__ for this precious photo ❤️
For all the things my hands have held the best by far is you 💕
