Finally feels like summer is around the corner. Gorgeous evening up on the Downs. As you can tell, we are a pin in kind of bunch.
Some pictures from Hirono to get the juices flowing on this dreary Monday. From left to right, the view of the 18th green from the clubhouse, @raglanroad45 edging a bunker on the 17th and the 9th green complex under construction.
#Repost @nairnproshop ・・・ ⛳️ New Greens Opening ⛳️ Today marked the opening of the new look greens on the 1st, 7th & 14th. See above the results of the hard work over the winter period on the 14th green. The Par 3, 225 yard, “Kopjes” 📸 Great work from the team @1stgolf @mackenzieandebert as well as our very own greenskeepers here @ Nairn Golf Club 👏🏼 Stay tuned for more images of the improvements!
The contrast between the liner and dormant grass does a great job of highlighting @raglanroad45 detailed bunker edges at Hirono. Pictured is the 14th green complex. Work moving at a blistering rate so far despite some heavy spells of rain. 📷 by @elevatedoverview
2 and a half months into the project and we have the first bunker installed with sand. Some fantastic detail on the edges by @raglanroad45.
Great developments @princesgolfclub over the last 2 winters. Plenty of sand being exposed again, back to the landscape seen soon after it opened in the early 20th century. And we're not finished! More to come later this year. ・・・ #tbt A great image from 1909 of the Prince’s links and superbly illustrating the inspiration for our bunkering work over the last 18 months.
Fantastic view of the new range and practice academy at Lima Golf Club taken from one of the many high rises that surrounds the course. The range doubles up as a 6 hole par 3 course for use in the evenings with the goal being to develop a new generation of golfers.
Updates from Hirono, this time from the par 3 7th Devil's Divot. Images showing the hole in 1933, 2017 and as things stand today. Exciting to see the short right bunker being restored to its former glory. 📷 @raglanroad45
Restoration of the CH Alison's 13th hole at Hirono is progressing well. Swipe across to see the hole in 1933 - this line of play was lost and grown over with trees, great to see it back in action. Rapid work so far by the crew and fantastic shaping by @raglanroad45 and @diggermanfun38. More to come.
CH Allison's original 13th coming back to life at Hirono.

It's that time of year again! Our 2018 Review is ready for viewing. It has been a whirlwind year, and an exciting 2019 lies ahead of us with work at Hirono starting next week and the small matter of The Open at Royal Portrush in July!! Follow the link in our bio and have a flick through the review. Enjoy!
Our Christmas present to everyone this year is yet more St Andrews drone spam! How can you not be inspired by The Old on a glorious sunny evening, or any evening for that matter!? 📷 by our very own Chris @elevatedoverview
The past two winters have seen a number of sandy waste areas and dune slacks opened up on the New Course @thehomeofgolf where dense course growth was previously seen. Great landscape features as well as valuable habitat. The fine shaping work of Jaime O'Reilly comes to life under the low evening sun of a Scottish winter. 📷 by @elevatedoverview
A sneak peak of the redesigned short game area at @thehomeofgolf soon after it was turfed earlier this month. 4 greens shaped in total with the original Colt 2nd green of the Eden remaining untouched (left side of photo). 📷 by @elevatedoverview
New short game facility at @rcpgolfclub nearing completion. Replicating those world renowned Cinque Ports greens and green surrounds has been a lot of fun. @1stgolf on the shaping and @jamesbledge finishing off the greens.
Another strong par 3 at Royal Wimbledon is the 8th - a good example of how a long 3 can be challenging but very playable. Last winter we worked on improving the general view of the hole by rerouting the pathway and shaping the carry. This was left largely as gravel to encourage heather species to grow. The drought has made this challenging, but patience is key!
Developments on the 17th at Royal Wimbledon. Tree clearance on the hillside has made a big impact on the hole. Front of the green has been softened slightly to increase pinnable areas and to get the water moving the right way. Bunkers revamped too.
South America Visit complete, onto UK winter construction work. Can anyone name today's destination??
Good day spent at Club El Rodeo, Medellin - aka, the Lossiemouth of South America..
