Since I'm sharing podcast episodes let's take it back to an older episode. @msbeaut, Dee and I weighed in on just how terrible some of those 90's R&B love songs were that EVERYONE loved. Don't get me wrong, I'll sing them at karaoke with everyone, but they were problematic. PRIME EXAMPLE! Swipe left and let me know if you (1) have seen the video for this classic song, and (2) remember this scene. I had to edit some of the words on the picture, but you get the gist of it. #fbf
My #WCW is currently on my prayer list (by request) because she's fasting from Amazon this month. 😂😂 Have y'all listened to this week's episode of @lehautepaire yet? @timewithterah had me ROLLING!!
Y'all!!! If you do nothing else today, I need you to listen to episode 21 of @lehautepaire! I interviewed @timewithterah for this week's episode and she came through in a MAJOR way. She shared tips for couponing, cleaning and evening saving money. And we barely scratched the surface on it! Take a listen to the episode and go ahead and follow her and subscribe to her new YouTube channel. You're not going to want to miss the gems she plans on dropping soon!
Okay so boom! 2008 vs 2018. I was still transitioning back to natural hair so I wore it pulled back a lot and would wand curl it when I wanted curls. I didn't have my tattoo or nose ring yet, I wasn't sure of my voice, didn't know that no was a full sentence and had a TON of growing up to do. I also preferred contacts to glasses and abused the mess out of my brows. That's all changed now. 😂😂 How hard has aging hit you? #howharddidaginghityouchallenge #howharddidaginghityou
I'm still learning to find joy in cooking, and one of the things that's helping is my pressure cooker!! I made homemade beef stew on Sunday, which is huge for me. I'm typically the person who buys everything pre-chopped and all in a kit, but not this time. The only thing pre-diced was the stew meat!! And what I love about these pressure cookers is that they cut the cook time down by 50-75%! I was able to cook and eat within an hour!! I'm sharing that recipe, plus a few other soup recipes I plan on trying out for #NationalSoupMonth!
So I partied for a purpose on Saturday and had a blast!! I attended #ThePremier2019 and celebrated @iammallory's birthday and also gave back to a great cause!! I love that Mallory puts her money where her mouth is and gives back to the community, making sure that others have the opportunity to better themselves and their mental health. I actually had her on @lehautepaire recently and I wanted to share a few clips of that episode with y'all and also encourage you to check out that episode if you haven't done so already!!
Remember that post I mentioned a few days ago? Well it's live on the blog today!! Don't let your new planner collect dust, check out my blog for a bunch of ways you can use it!
I'm already looking forward to May 😂😂 I also have a blog post going live next week showing the different ways I use my planners!
One of my former therapists dropped this gem on me some years back and I still use it #TilThisDay (50 points if you get the reference 🤣). We can't allow ourselves to be crippled by fear, and this is something I use when I'm facing mine.
So I hinted at this in yesterday's post and podcast episode, but I wanted to officially share it today. My #OneLittleWord for 2019 is cultivate! I've found that it's easier for me to make sure that I incorporate my word into my actions all year than it is for me to make and stick to resolutions. I'm sharing all of this and more in today's post so head on over to the blog and check it out!!
New year, new beginnings! Happy New Year, y'all!! I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my friends for this week's episode of @lehautepaire and we touched on so much!! Resolutions, goals for the new year and 'One Little Words'! Nisha (@itstartsat5) also started a blog recently and shared her drive behind that, so check out this clip and check out the full episode too!!
We're at that weird time of year where Christmas decorations are still out, but we're getting prepared for the new year. Resolutions and goals are being written down, planners are being purchased, blog posts are being written and scheduled, trips are being booked. So much is happening!! I'm already looking forward to 2019, but I want to reflect for a moment. What were some of your highs of 2018?
