We performed our first gig with newbies at Perry World House yesterday for Global Arts Week! Can you spot them in the picture? 😛
Today is our last day of auditions for this semester! Come to Williams 04 between 2pm-10pm to sign up (note that we will be taking a dinner break between 7pm-8pm today). Finally, hear from Rachel Cho on why she joined PennSori and why you should too: I joined PennSori because of a pretty simple reason - I loved music, and I wanted to sing with people. I quickly realized though that these were hardly the only things that I'd be getting out of the experience. I've grown so much through Sori in ways I couldn't have imagined, and the people I've met along the way have truly been integral to my college experience. Sori supports you, no matter what. Aside from the awesome music that we do 🙂 we also have a huge focus on developing leadership and communication skills through board positions. If you want to find your family on campus, this is it! Rachel is a senior in PennSori and one of our musical directors!
PENNSORI AUDITIONS ARE TODAY! Swing by Williams G4 between 2pm-10pm to sing for us. Note that we will be taking a dinner break between 6pm-7pm. Today, hear Edward Kim tell you why you should join our group: Music is only part of the experience. It’s about finding people with whom you can build intimate and lifelong friendships, and also work together to create something beautiful while spending time with one another. The more time and effort you put in toward an a cappella group, the more they become family. You’ll find some of the most supportive, caring, and uplifting friends in a group like PennSori. In a campus that can be as busy and stressful as Penn, having such a family can make a world of difference – you find a home. And when everyone in the family works together to produce music, that’s when the sound becomes meaningful and a memory to cherish. Edward is a junior in PennSori and is our interim marketing chair!
AUDITIONS BEGIN TOMORROW! Come to Williams 004 between 2pm-10pm for the chance to be part of PennSori. Today, hear Steve tell you why you should join the group: I think people should join PennSori if they want to try new things. I love singing, but I didn’t just find a group of talented singers, I found a family. I joined as a second semester sophomore; while most join as freshman, that shouldn’t hold anyone back. Take it from me — If you ever feel like school has become a single routine, shake it up with PennSori! Steve is a senior in PennSori and is also our president :)
PennSori auditions are 2 DAYS away!! Come sing for us on Sunday, September 2 or Monday, September 3, 2pm-10pm both days in Williams 004. Today, Subin Lee will tell you all about why he loves Sori. Why should someone join PennSori? I think you should join Pennsori because you will discover a side of you that you never knew you had. College is an exciting time in your life where you get to enjoy the privilege of having so many options and possibilities available for you. Whatever background you have in singing or performing, I assure you that it will be an experience that you will learn something from. If you always wanted to try out, or if you are hesitating or meh about it, just come audition! You really have nothing to lose (except for maybe 10 - 15 minutes of your life which you spend anyway when you snooze your alarm in the morning). What's your favorite thing about PennSori? I really think it’s the experience in general. As vague as it is, I don’t think there is going to be a time in my life again where I get to sing at a stage, be part of a concert with 200+ audiences, become part of a skit with a cool personal photo shoot, and have a video of me singing uploaded on youtube. Plus, you get to do all of that with people you will genuinely grow to care about. Wholesome for the win! Subin is a sophomore in PennSori and is our business manager!
