This year I am loving bold colors in wedding design. Don’t get me wrong, I adore a soft neutral palette as much as the next person, but I love breaking the mold and standing out. Which is why I am SO excited for my shoot in less than two weeks with some of my favorite creative friends! I can’t wait to show you guys what we create, but for now, I will share this gorgeous bold tablescape from our shoot in Madison last month 💕 Photo | @selyciayangphotography #wedding #weddingplanning #chicagowedding #chicagobride #rockfordil #gorockford #bride #bridetobe #florist #weddingflorist #weddinginspiration #theknot #thatsdarling #flashesofdelight #makewaves #everafterplanningbride #creativeatheart #calledtobecreative #stylemepretty #weddingphotography #weddingphotographer #engagement #isaidyes #weddingdress #weddingideas
Breaking the mold of a curated and bright feed for real, raw truth. As well as some incredibly deep mommy pride! I never thought I’d be the mom to cry at sports, but in Daytons first match yesterday he got his first pin and I cried like a baby, picked that kid up and celebrated. Then he did it again! Lost his third match but because of those two pins he brought home first place! Dayton has worked so hard and come so far since November when we signed up. He had yet to finish outside of 4th place, until yesterday. I am so incredibly proud of my little guy for working his tail off and having such determination to pull it off. Wrestling is SUCH a tough sport. For him. For Sean and I. For everyone. But damn. Is it rewarding.
New Years Resolutions overwhelm me, am I alone? Bueler...Bueler...? I have never really been a resolution kind of person...I don't truly believe that the change of the calendar is a huge monumental occasion that will change everything and make everything different or better. I do however want my life from here on to be different, not just in 2019, but for good. As I mentioned the other day, I just want things to be different from now on. And while it feels cliche' to me, I am using the start of the new year to kick off some big and little goals, that hopefully change my day to day mindset and feelings. Today on the blog I am sharing a few of my goals that I have, to not only hopefully have you all keep me accountable, but because putting pen to paper really helps solidify things for me. It makes it feel a bit more real. So, head on over and check those goals out, and then come back here and let me know what some of your goals for the year are! What are you hoping to change, to achieve, to do? Let me know friends!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #lifestyle #goals #resolutions #everafterplanning #fullheart #blog #blogpost #everafterplanning #weddingplanner #weddingplanning
I’ve never really had New Years resolutions or goals before, but to be frank, 2018 wasn’t great. As a business we celebrated with some of our favorite couples ever, grew as a business and added floral design services, but in my personal life 2018 wasn’t my favorite. The whole year just felt off to me. While I don’t feel like the changing day of a calendar changes much, I do feel like it’s the perfect opportunity to refresh and restart. I keep seeing so many people picking their word of the year and sharing their goals, and I love seeing this. I decided not to sit and set goals until the start of the new year, and for me that means this week since my kiddos are back in school and we wrapped up our New Years wedding. I will say that a big piece I feel drawn to, is contentment. And I am starting that at home. So I started on Friday by cleaning out my closets in my home of things that we just don’t need or utilize that may bring others in need joy, it slowly turned into purging our whole house and it is SO refreshing!!! So I’m curious friends, how are you starting off 2019? What’s on your goal list? Also, believe it or not, I did this before I knew anything about Marie Kondos show on Netflix!!!
Off Season for us isn’t near as glamorous as wedding season, but it’s just as important. I get to purge my home, snuggle my littles, keep up on laundry, and work on the back end of business. But truth be told, there really isn’t an “off season” because even though we aren’t executing gorgeous celebrations, we are working hard on proposals, bridal fairs, editorial work and more! Yesterday however was a different day. I started out just purging my closet, and wound up ripping my entire house apart and upside down. And let me tell ya friends, it felt SO good. I got rid of BOXES of stuff, and I feel refreshed for the new year. I strongly recommend this to anyone who feels cluttered at all, it was insanely relieving!
