***QUESTION FOR YA!*** What are your thoughts on vow booklets for a wedding day? Love it? Not necessary? I’d love to hear! Did you use them or are you planning on using them for your big day?!
I bet when Katie looks at this image, 5 years from now, it’ll bring her right back to that chilly spring day when all Jon could do was whisper all the reasons why he was so happy she was officially his bride! In the last couple weeks, my mom has been going through and cleaning out boxes at their house and have come across some fun pictures from my childhood. Suddenly, the memories flood back in and I remember moments I didn’t think I would. It really is amazing what a photo can do for you. I think a big part of why I love capturing moments is because I can easily forget what we were doing on a certain occasion. So many times, I go back to my photos app and type in a specific date and remind myself where or what we were doing. Moments like when my girls laughed for the first time, or when Zach and I had a late night-eat ice cream out of the container date, or the time I went skydiving... moments like these I just never want to forget.
😮Umm, hold a moment while I lift my jaw off the floor! Austin & Kinna’s @excelsiorlancaster wedding was one I’ll never forget! I mean, just look at that head table and those centerpieces created by @rosemaryandrust 😍 . . . . . . Photographed by @kelsreneephoto on behalf of Olivia Rae Photography
If you would have asked me, even just a few months ago, If I’d ever photograph families, I would’ve said no. I felt so unqualified for the job and to be honest, a little nervous to work with kids! Just wasn’t sure how the whole posing/kids cooperating thing would go so I always just said no if someone asked! When Joel & Cherylin, whose wedding was my very first one after officially starting my business, contacted me, asking if I could come to NJ and do a lifestyle family session for them, I immediately said yes. I’m not sure what changed but I was suddenly excited to capture the little moments that happen throughout a day. The thing about lifestyle sessions is that they feel so natural. I want Joel & Cherylin to remember their little guy laughing when they tickle him, or the many many diaper changes in his adorable nursery, or how he slept so peacefully in his momma’s arms. These moments are even more precious to me now that I’m a momma and I want to capture them for other families. These stages go so quickly as your kids grow up... make sure their captured!
💃🏼I would be 100% okay with photographing all first dances outside, on an open dance floor under lights 😍 Scroll through to see James & Kelly’s series of dance moves! They are the sweetest!
Happy birthday baby girl! One year ago, you quickly came into this world and have changed our lives for the better. Adeline has such a sweet personality and the cutest smile. She loves to cuddle but also constantly on the move. She quiet and content and loves playing with her sister So so glad I’m her momma! More pictures from her sprinkle themed birthday party coming tomorrow!
Today was good for the soul! These lovely ladies came over and we were able to have some real, down to earth chats and it was the best. We are all in different stages of life and all met each other in a different ways but photography has brought us all together! Thankful for this community!
Who here has made some new year resolutions?🙋🏼♀️ To be honest, I never keep them lol I have great intentions but after about a month or more, they slowly fade out. UGH Whose with me? So I decided to make a few short term goals for my business for the first quarter of the year! Seems a little more doable, don’t ya think?! I’d love to hear what yours are! A few of mine are: 1. Book 4 more weddings by April 2. Get my big project finished up 3. Blog some helpful resources for future brides 4. Dig deep into Pinterest for my business!
