Preschool for Hudson = brunch dates with my girl. Feeling so lucky to have this one on one time with her like I did with him. 🤗 • • • 📷 | @wandering__roots + really yummy brunch spot @milkglassmrkt
Seriously, thank you all so much for taking the time to comment on my last post and showering me with love and the best compliments. This is why I love it here and you all reminded me of that! I promise to respond to everyone as soon as I get the kids in bed tonight. Lock is out of town so the struggle is real, ya know? . . . Here’s a pic of one of my favorite waterfalls so far, Toketee Falls in Umpqua National Forest.
Hi friends! I’m back (I think) and want to explain. I left this space for a while because I’ve been struggling a bit emotionally ever since my mom passed away and to be honest kind of lost myself in some of the negative dialogue that makes its way onto this app every once in a while. I really needed to take some time to work on myself and reassess why I’m here and what my motives are. So here we go: . . . • I like to get creative. With poses, editing, locations etc. I used to be a freelance photographer in LA and NYC and I used to write, direct and act in films for film festivals. It’s in my blood. • I like to share happy experiences. Things that make me feel good and hopefully make someone else smile as well. Things that I’ll look back on when I’m having a rough day and it’ll turn it around. • I take photos of things that inspire me and I create content that I’m inspired by. • I enjoy searching for pretty waterfalls, cool suspension bridges or a pretty view. Being outside is therapy for me. • I’m a label shopper and try a new product almost every time I go to the store. Yep, I drive my husband crazy. • I love matching with my kids or putting my kids in matching outfits. • I find joy in making my kids laugh and smile wether it’s for a photo or behind the scenes. • I need motivation in order to clean my house and I could care less where that motivation comes from. . . . • I’m here to share what I WANT about MY life because I WANT to. • I’m here because I’ve always enjoyed photographing my life. I’m here because I love sharing my experiences and things I like to use, wear or try, and I absolutely 100% enjoy making connections with people that share my same interests or can teach me a thing or two. • I’m here because I can help support my family this way. • And most importantly, I’m here because this is my creative outlet and I’m lucky to be here. Okay, I’m back! . . . So tell me, why are you here? And why do you follow me?
Lock and I entered 2018 with our very first getaway trip to wine country in Dundee, OR and although we didn’t plan to get any content I had to post this one quick photo Lock snapped because this place was a little slice of heaven. I really want to share where we stayed and what we did because everything was perfect and I highly recommend everything for anyone wanted a beautiful vineyard retreat. • .. We stayed at a small inn, only 9 rooms, called Black Walnut (@blackwalnutinn) which is nicely situated on an incredible vineyard with the most beautiful view. Since this time of year isn’t considered “season” I’m pretty sure we were the only ones there so as you can imagine, peaceful is a total understatement. They’re currently offering 25% off their premium vineyard-view rooms (we stayed in nine 👌🏼) until February 28th. Take note: they are an adult only inn. • .. While we were there we booked a wine tour with Chris from Access Oregon Wine Tours which is a private tour that takes you to 4-6 different wineries within the Willamette Valley. We LOVED chris not only because he was very knowledgeable but also because he was very personable and quickly felt more like a friend than a tour guide. Everybody knew him and often gave us a discount just for being with him. He took us to Alexana, WillaKenzie, Fairsing, Saffron Fields, and Domaine Roy + fils. • .. It was a much needed trip for the two of us as the last half of 2017 was pretty rough and well, it was our first trip away by ourselves and toddlers are hard y’all. We are so thankful for our friends Trevor and Lelia who watched the kids for us, all of our local friends (new and old) for taking the edge off whenever possible during our transition to a new home, and thankful for our friends/family near and far (including all of you guys) that constantly check in and keep up with our chaotic lives. Cheers to a new year full of new adventures, new friends, and new ventures. Oh and a maybe a few more vineyard getaways for Lock and I 😉
