NIGHT SHIFT 🌙 📲 If you use your phone (or other screens!) within a few hours of going to bed, the blue light is disrupting your body's biological clock by interfering with the release of melatonin, which regulates our sleep patterns and #circadianrhythm. 😴 An easy way to prevent this is by using Night Shift!⠀ ⠀⠀ If you're using an iPhone, go to settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift! 🌙 For your computer you can download f.lux, which is a free app that works similarly. And don't forget blue light blocking glasses (these are from @phoneticeyewear) which significantly reduce digital eye strain 👀 and reduce blue light! What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Vitamin C? Is it immune health? If so, you're right...but there is SO much more to this nutrient! Vitamin C is not only a powerful antioxidant, antibacterial, and antiviral powerhouse, it's also essential for the production of collagen (the most prevalent protein of our skin and bones!) and brain health. In fact, Vitamin C is required for the production of neurotransmitters - specifically serotonin, which greatly impacts our mood and overall well-being!⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ Oh and keep in mind that citrus fruits aren't the only whole foods rich in Vitamin C. Let's talk sleep🌙 It’s safe to say that most of us do realize the importance of a good night’s sleep. Our bodies rely on sleep to heal and restore, and we start to see all sorts of health issues when we're deprived of sleep. Even issues that may not seem related to sleep, such as weight gain, accelerated aging, adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalance and more are greatly associated with lack of sleep.⠀ ⠀⠀ With that said, the majority of people have trouble sleeping.
