I thought I would share the $5 hack that recently rocked my world. About a year ago, we installed wall sconces above our headboard. I had read about @younghouselove’s tip for hiding the lighting cord and immediately bought the $5 cord cover they recommended. Because I had to wait for my husband to use his fancy saw to cut the cover down to my desired length, it sat in our basement forever. Recently, I decided it was now or never and begged him to do his part, so I could get moving on the project. Once the cord cover was cut, I painted it the same shade as the wall, snapped the cord into the concealing case and used the sticker to position it on the wall. Easy peasy and it only took minutes to install. 😃 Boy did it make a big difference in the overall look of the room. Talk about the perfect polish! ✨ Swipe to see the difference. ➡️

“SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE.” I keep walking past this sign in my foyer thinking, “Boy, I wish someone could come over and actually see this.” 😔 As an entertainer at heart, I yearn for the day in which I can host or even simply attend a gathering again. We have postponed my son’s birthday party, Easter and most likely Mother’s Day. I know it’s for the best, but I definitely miss seeing and interacting with people. Overall though, I’m glad everyone is doing their part to flatten the curve by staying home, and a special thanks to our healthcare providers taking care of those most in need. During this difficult and unusual time, I’m praying hard for everyone.

I just ordered this adorable rainbow from @melrosemakes for my daughter’s room. My friend Melissa just started a shop that features handmade fiber wall art. If you’re looking to shop small while also brighten your space, I recommend checking her out.

🐰 Well that’s a wrap. I can’t believe Easter has come and gone so quickly. It seems odd not to have celebrated with my huge family, but we did enjoy a full day of festivities with our littles. I hope you had a wonderful celebration at home, and enjoyed some down time to relax and count you blessings. Happy Easter, my friends! 💕

@dollartree for the win! My son is having a major dinosaur moment, so when I saw these dinosaur figurine cards for just $1, I had to buy them. Then I stumbled upon dinosaur gummies at @krogerco. And of course, everything is better bagged and bowed. Now we are all set for Friday! 🦖❤️ 🦕 #valentines #valentinescards #toddlerlife #valentinesgift #dinosaur #dinosaurs #preschool #boymom #boymomlife #dollartreefinds #dollartree #dollartreediy #dollartreecrafts #kroger

My maternity leave is coming to an end, so I’m thinking of packing up the Christmas decor a few days earlier than normal. I love the glow of the tree and festiveness of the season, but also find joy in organizing all of the new gifts and going through a good purge to kickstart the new year. I can’t believe 2020 is only a few days away. Where did 2019 go? . . . . #christmastree #christmasdecor #holiday #familyroom #hearthandhand #target #interiordesign #homedesign #interiordecoratinginspo

Soaking in the scenes on this chilly morning. Enjoying baby cuddles and debating if there’s enough snow to take my toddler sledding for the very first time. He seems to think so. ❄️ (Good thing I bought a sled this weekend. @costco for the win!)
