Join us this Thursday for our first GBM of the winter quarter! We will have a representative from Qualcomm inform us about what they are working on and also give tips to everyone on how to get into industry. Also, we will be talking about our upcoming SHPE events for the winter quarter! Oh yeah did I mention free Pollo Loco?!
INTRAMURAL SOCCER!!!!!!!! For all of you people who have played since you were little, or have never a kicked a ball in your life, now is your time to shine... We will be participating in this Winter Quarter's Intramural Soccer Tournament! We have two teams available for you to sign up for! (1) SHPE FC: A coed team for all SHPE Familia members. This is in the least competitive division, meant for us to simply have fun and bond over a good time! 3 men and 3 women must be on the field at all times in order for our team to qualify, so ladies and gentlemen, sign up! (Games are Saturdays at 3pm) (2) Trap United: A men's team (also in the lowest division) that will be taken a bit more seriously because we're trying to get Allan Martinez that trophy before he graduates! (Games are Saturdays at 1pm) Spread the word! It's $7 to sign up for as many intramural teams as you want this quarter. You could do both of our teams if you'd like! (I think it may even be possible for some of you competitive ladies out there to slip into our men's games, but I will have to double check that). Instructions on how to sign up are in the comment section! Note: As of now there are two SHPE teams. Pick the one that says SHPE FC. Also, due to a bug on UCSD REC's website, it may mistakenly say the games are Monday at 6 for Trap United. They're not. They are indeed Saturdays at 1pm. Lastly, actual soccer cleats and shin guards, although recommended, are not required. How to register for SHPE FC team: Go to rec.ucsd.edu Log in with UCSD Active Directory (AD) Credentials Use same info you use to login to TritonED Scroll down and click Intramurals and then IM Pass Buy the 60 day pass (with this you can play as many sports/division as you'd like) Once done, go to Find Teams and type in SHPE FC in search bar.
