. Just one more of countless waterfalls in 🇮🇸
. So this really happened today! . Inside Europe’s largest glacier! . As you’ve heard I’m stranded with my camper right now at Skaftafell National Park due to heavy storms. So I grabbed my crampons and tripod today and decided to go on a little hike, and because there is not much except of glaciers around here, that was the perfect location to look for some ice caves. Not bad for a selfie! What do you think?
. Roaming the streets of Iceland with @knaus_official . I was just scrolling through my photos looking for a image with some nice sunny weather and noticed that this was quite a while ago. It has be an incredible journey so far, but I’m also happy, as my trip slowly comes to an end, to get back home soon. Weather gets worse every day and right now I’m stuck at a National Park camp site waiting for a heavy snow storm to calm down. Fingers crossed it won’t take too long 🙏🏻
. Winter is coming...
. Watching @tarah_voss doing some gear testing!
. Tarah ( @tarah_voss )watching the last light over the ice at Jökulsárlón.
. This was by far one of the most spectacular sceneries I have ever seen. . Want to know why? . Check out my stories 🙌🏻
. Would you dare? . Rappelling down into a huge bottomless hole inside a glacier is something I could do every day. Super happy that my next week will be filled with exploring these bad boys from the inside 🙌🏻
. Cruising through Iceland’s highlands is like driving on mars. Volcanic craters, fields of black ash and deep canyons carving deep into the land. Probably this is all covered in white soon.
. Discovered one of these bad boys today from inside! Can’t wait to show you more 😱🙌🏻 . Check out my stories for more detailed background information.
. There are so many waterfalls here in Iceland called „Skogafoss“ , „Dettifoss“ , „Seljalandsfoss“ , „Gullfoss“ , and so on... . I call this one „ @tarah_voss “ with a „V”. The most beautiful to me 😜
. Today, after three weeks full of adventure Tarah ( @tarah_voss ) has paddled back to Salzburg for work. . Thank you for being the great adventure buddy on my side. I just can’t belief how many adventures we’ve been trough and how many more are yet to come. Can’t wait to see you again babe ❤️ . Kayaking between icebergs at Jökulsárlón was definitely one for the books.
. Ever witnessed northern lights during sunset? 🤔 . Well, we did a few days ago at glacier lagoon when I didn’t expect them at all.
. Finally a thin snow layer also covered the south coast of Iceland. Love that time of the year.
. Discovering the inside of the earth. . Tarah and I followed that riverbed through the canyon to find a hidden waterfall at the end of it. What a experience. Iceland leaves me speechless... every day!
. Iceland was really good to us the last few days. Standing at the ice lagoon watching the Aurora right now 👌🏻
Stop and stare! . Standing amongst giants Iceland style 🇮🇸
. Being a bird in Iceland must be pretty sick 🐦🤙🏻 . Happy Sunday folks 🙌🏻
. This one is called “Waterfall of The gods”! . Any ideas why? 🤔
. What should I say? . Today the first thin layer of snow covered the northern highlands of Iceland and I just can’t wait for the next weeks to explore. Never seen magical almost black and white landscapes like that before.
. After 10 days on the road I told @tarah_voss it’s finally time to take a shower.
. Took a flight with the birds today!
. Stormy days! . I knew that it’s gonna be rough over here, but it’s still kind of scary to see the pure force of the Atlantic with your own eyes. We had to park our caravan the whole day facing the wind, making sure that it’s not flipped around by it. Luckily we had all the comfort with us in our camper for a nice and cozy day inside. I was still a bit nervous because there were so many cars with broken windows around and we also saw a caravan trailer flipping over right behind ours. Luckily we made it through the storm without any damages with @knaus_official
. Sleeping under an arctic sky is like...
