#FromtheArchive > This shot by @ranu.jharokha featured in our 2015 community exhibition, RGB. Experimenting with the idea of color photography began as early as the 1840s, but it was not until 1855 that Scottish physicist James Maxwell introduced the three-color method, which became the foundation for virtually all practical color processes thereafter. For the RGB exhibition, we placed an open call to the photography community to submit work themed along the fundamental color model, and we selected works showcasing the three core colors: red, green, and blue.
