This wasn’t us all week in Tulum but we did pop some bubbly every now and then and of course had a whole lotta guacamole. So Taco Bout a Party indeed, I hope you’re having a happy Monday!
I’m still dreaming of Tulum but I’m off this weekend on a surprise trip! Any guesses where my girls are taking me? This sure helps ease back into reality!
I’ve been lucky enough to have Asher on a few destinations weddings over the years. And since we knew we were already good travel buddies she was my roommie in Tulum. She’s always down for a photo shoot and consistently kills it on style and fun. She was even willing to put up with my late nights and early mornings throughout the trip... bless her. During some dinners we’d have questions thrown out there about what we’re doing differently in 2018. We wanted to hear what we’re planning to do to better ourselves and our businesses. One thing she said was so cool. She’s living more simply. Like, she has a uniform for everyday, whether she edits, goes outside to the bodega by her apartment on the UES or if anyone just pops by... she’ll look put together and ready to take on the day. We started talking about how some of the most successful people in the world have uniforms. They do it because it saves time, energy and even those creative juices you should be using to better your business or life. I haven’t fully committed to this yet but it was a realization that I have too many clothes and I need a cleaning period for sure! What are some things you’re doing in 2018 to better your life or your career?
Before I left for Tulum my sweet friends surprised me with these awesome travel gifts. @im_jessica_oh had a travel theme in mind because I was turning 30 and I have quite a bit of traveling adventures taking place this year. @amyrizzutophotography knows just how much I love a margarita or two... or three and kicked off the flight just right with that little gem of a cocktail gift! Here’s to 2018 being the best travel year yet! ✈️
Tulum surprised me! Between the food, restaurants, barefoot shops, the ruins and the amazing house we stayed I cannot wait to plan our next trip. This little gem of a picture was taken next door at a hotel/restaurant where we had brunch today. It overlooked the water and just felt like the perfect place to have our last meal together.
