👋hello weekend, I made kinako dango ｛sweet dumplings dusted with roasted soy bean flour} for our teatime! A really simple little treat to make, chewy mochi-liked texture & sweetened kinako flour matches so well together! Happy rainy evening, we are staying cozy #hygge at home~ how about you? 💚
Baked some more scones for the weekend with leftover ingredients, and of course I got to have some while they are piping hot, simply split & spread with fresh cream cheese, topped with homemade jam. p/s: the passion fruit seeds in the jam add a unique crunchy texture on every bite of the buttery scones, oh~ heavenly! Definitely worth the wait on a cold rainy evening. Happy Friday friends, and smile 😊 cuz weekend is here!
Hello Friday! I’ve been baking a lot of scones lately 😋 it’s not difficult, need no special skills but a little patience on rubbing the butter & flour into fine breadcrumb consistency. My life motto : no matter what you cook or bake, it’s all in the way you handle the humble ingredients! The food will definitely turn out to be good when you cook them with ❤️
Tonight’s dinner : hearty-made dumplings + wontons in Sichuan style chili oil sauce | glad that the sour + spicy sauce turned out to be good, very aromatic | the juicy shrimp & ground pork filled dumplings was delicious and we totally in love with the crunchiness of the wood ear fungus, water chestnuts in the filling. Happy mid week peeps! ❤️

Wohoo~ exciting Friday night dinner! I made Hamburg steak tonight, mixed lean ground beef with finely chopped onion, chopped carrot, a little thyme and some salt & black pepper. Here’s a little💡trick for juicer patties : adding a small amount of milk/cream into the mixture!😉Topped with homemade bbq sauce & simple sides to go with : sautéed shimeji mushrooms, boiled carrots & fresh cherry tomatoes! TGIF 🎉
Wohoo, It’s a happy mail week! Postman came early morning (I think he knew it was going to rain 😉) and handed me a parcel of love from Misato Chan.
