  • I am not the oldest or most experienced teacher out there. I will dare to say I'm not even the best teacher. But, I think I'm a pretty good one. And most people who are nervous about moving overseas to be a TEFL teacher are nervous about being a good teacher. • So, how do you become a good teacher? Let me offer you some sage wisdom. Being a good teacher is a lot like being a good student. You need to be open to learning, open to trying new things, and open to making mistakes. • Anyone can be a teacher, but it takes a special type of person to be a good teacher. Some people have a gift for it. But many people simply have a passion to connect with their students and help them. • Passion and a willingness to try is the key to being a good teacher. If you're nervous about being good enough, that already means you care. • Take the training and make it your own. Take your mistakes and learn from them. And remember, don't take yourself too seriously. They just want a teacher who cares.
