Thank you to everyone for all the Birthday love! It truly made my day even better 💖 Now back to the repost life. ____ This is *most* of my wash-off mask stash from January of this year. I'm happy to say I've finished (or near finished)/ destashed 1/2 of these! The not so good news: after destashing I still have half a dozen unopened masks chilling on my shelves... plus all those ones on my wish list... #skincareaddictproblems. I love masking but it takes me so long to finish up a jar 🙈 ____ I truly enjoy a lot of these masks, but if I had to pick some of my favorites: 🌿 @youthtothepeople age prevention mask is my fav for decongesting. It helps brings zits and gunk to the surface without drying out my skin (unlike most clay masks.) 💧 @joshrosebrook advanced hydration mask (@thedetoxmarket PR) is my favorite for hydration. My skin feels instantly softer when I melt this into the skin. It also works as an overnight mask on lazy days. ⭐ @tatcha radiant c mask (not pictured) is my favorite for brightening! Somehow, some way my skin always looks glowier after using this mask. It's magic.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday! It’s my birthday and I can’t believe I’m 25 😭 Thanks to the skincare community for making 24 better than 23. Here’s hoping 25 is even better!
Pretty new things! 💋 #YvesSaintLaurentBeautygiftedme volupte tint-in-balm in cherry red 💋 In general, I've had really good luck with @yslbeauty's lipstick formulas-- this is probably the 4th or 5th one that I've tried. 💋 Unsurprisingly, I loved this formula too! Just like the name implies, it's a tint and a balm in one. It feels very hydrating on the lips and gives a nice flush of color. I drank water and ate taquitos while wearing it the other day and was still left with some color afterward. 💋 It does make your lips look shiny, but there's no tackiness. It honestly just feels like you're wearing a slightly thicker lip balm. Overall it's definitely something I would consider purchasing in an additional color! ⚜️ @creedboutique Floralie EDP ⚜️ I was lucky enough to be gifted this at a launch event and omg, it's beyond delicious. It starts off as very floral but when it dries down, you get a richer, woodsier scent. The final scent is a beautiful balance between the two. ⚜️ It has top notes of bulgarian rose, tuberose, lilac, and marigold; middle notes of amber, Lily of the Valley, and cedarwood; base notes of cedarwood, amber, and musk rose. ⚜️ Blessed that it lasts all day long! It lingers but it isn't so strong that I get a headache or leave an aggressive scent trail behind. ⚜️ At the moment, it's a @neimanmarcus exclusive. But later this summer it'll launch at @bergdorfgoodman and Creed boutiques. ⚜️ The packaging is absolutely stunning! It's a design collaboration with a 400-year-old French luxury glass maker, Pochet du Courval. Needless to say, it feels and looks very luxurious. ⚜️ It's a very, very bougie scent so I don't recommend blind buying. If you're interested, head to your local NM to give it a sniff! ___ PS this is the first photo I've taken in over two weeks! I succumbed and took out the artificial lights yesterday. We have another week of thunderstorms on the forecast... where is the summer sun?!
Reposting this routine because a) I have no new content and b) I like these photos! Hope you all have a lovely weekend! It's my birthday on Sunday and I'm excited to be heading to the beach ⛱️ ___ On the topic of birthdays, I still haven't decided what to buy for myself! My pre-birthday no buy came to an end last week but besides for a $5 bronzer, I've yet to purchase anything. Tbh I'm overwhelmed at all the choices-- I'm thinking of sticking to one big ticket splurge. At the top of my list are the new @overoseparis anamorphine candle, @biologique_recherche_usa p50 + cleanser, and @omorovicza’s hydra melting cleanser + magic moisture mist. What's on your wishlist at the moment?
Currently stuck in a loop of humid, cloudy weather so I'm gonna repost the days away 🙃 This photo is from this winter and it makes me miss winter lighting! Even though we got less sun in the winter, when we got it, it was goooood. Now all my good sunlight is blocked by leaves 😭 _____ Since this is a repost, I figured I would add mini-reviews for everything. I've actually since finished about half of these products! _____ ☀️ @farmacybeauty green clean: One of my favorite cleansing balms! Melts makeup, rinses off clean, & doesn't sting my eyes. ☀️ @indie_lee rosehip cleanser (@dermstore*): My favorite cleanser. It's since been reformulated and I can't wait to try the new one! ☀️ @herbivorebotanicals rose hibiscus mist: I like this but don't mind it life-changing. ☀️ @leegeeham_global hyal b5 toner: Nice and viscous and hydrating. Can get a bit tacky if I layer too much. ☀️ @joshrosebrook hydrating accelerator (@thedetoxmarket*): Another love of mine! So calming. If you're looking for a mist that will actually make a difference and add moisture to your face, look no further. ☀️ @whamisaskincare deep rich essence toner: So thick, but makes up for it by being v hydrating. ☀️ @huxley_us brightly ever after essence: Soothing + hydrating with a lovely lightweight texture. Also has that signature huxley scent that I love! ☀️ @herbivorebotanicals pink cloud moisturizer + phoenix oil: Love both of these and have already moved onto the full sizes! ☀️ @saturday_skin brightening eye cream: I didn't see any brightening effects from this but it is hydrating. It also has a siliconey texture so it does a good job at smoothing out the under eye area. Absorbs really well and layers nicely under concealer. ☀️ @laneige_us lip sleeping mask: Do I even need to say anything about this cult classic? _____ Happy Friday eve, everyone! _____ * = PR gift
I've been using these two beauties for a month now so I figured I would share an update (since I don't have any new photos anyways...yay rain) PS both were gifted by the respective brands. _____ ⭐ @diorbeauty glow booster serum: As far as designer skincare goes, this serum has a decent ingredient list. It contains glycolic acid and 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid, as well as fragrance. ⭐ It's meant to aid with uneven texture and skin tone. I sadly suffer from both. ⭐ I used this around 4 nights a week, as the first step post-cleansing. It has a watery consistency and absorbs very quickly. ⭐ My skin is pretty used to acids so I didn't experience any adjustment period or purging. I can't say how strong this is because they don't publish any %s. ⭐ Result wise it was eh. I did see some brightening and smoothing of my skin, but I see way better and quicker results with @sundayriley's good genes. ⭐ $95 is a lot to pay for an ok exfoliating serum. It's the best Dior skincare I've tried, but still isn't worth the price tag to me. I'd rather spend $10 more and buy GG. 🍄 @youthtothepeople adaptogen cream: I've done a lot of moisturizer hopping this summer. So far this is the only one I've fallen in love with! 🍄 It has a medium, creamy consistency and delivers enough moisturizing power to keep my skin supple overnight. 🍄 I've applied it after scrubs/ exfoliating masks and it quickly calmed down my skin. 🍄 It absorbs really well and gives my skin an *almost* dewy, glowy finish. It doesn't feel greasy or leave a film. My skin simply looks well moisturized. 🍄 $58 is pricey for a moisturizer so I understand that it's not for everybody! But if you don't mind the price and are looking for something soothing, that can keep skin moisturized all night long without any greasiness, and is silicone + fragrance + EO free-- this is an amazing pick. 🍄 I also like that it has a 12-month shelf life after opening! I'm always here for green beauty brands that properly preserve their products 🙌🏽
Last night's routine feat. @skinrxlab's madecera cleansing balm that #skinrxlabgiftedme. I've been holding off on writing this review because I realllly wanted to like this cleansing balm. But in the end, I'm pretty indifferent about it. ____ 🐯 A mini intro for those not familiar, #skinrxlab is a Korean brand that's slowly becoming more readily available in the US. The products in their madecera line feature soothing ingredients including niacinamide, ceramides, and centella asiatica. I've bought and enjoyed both the toner (included in this routine) and moisturizer from the line... but alas, the cleansing balm did not meet the same fate. 🐯 It has an almost solid consistency. It comes packaged with a spatula and it's easy to apply the balm without making a mess. It easily melts into an oil when rubbed into the skin. 🐯 Let's dive into the number one issue I have with this balm: it's not very easy to rinse it off! It does a mediocre job at emulsifying. While it thankfully does not leave a film behind, I do have to splash my face a few extra times to get it all off. It basically doubles the amount of time and water I would usually use to wash off an oil-based cleanser. 🐯 On the plus side, it does a fantastic job at melting my everyday makeup. It also doesn't strip my skin. 🐯 Price-wise it's mid-range at @ultabeauty, although I prefer @clinique's TTDO which is only $3 more. #ultabeauty
A fresh shelfie featuring some new PR things I got in the mail at the beginning of the month. I’ll fully admit I struggle to keep on top of testing PR and all that jazz. I just think it’s a lose-lose situation to test/ share first impressions on a dozen things a week. But sometimes I get excited about things I can’t test at the moment and doing a shelfie and chatting about the products suffices for the time being 😉 ______ ⭐ @versoskincare anti-pollution mist: Anti-pollution products seem to be everywhere lately! I’m intrigued at the concept because my skin is always worse for wear after a day in the city. I’ve tried spraying it and the mist is veeeeery fine, which is always a win. ⭐ @innisfreeusa green tea sleeping mask: Innisfree’s green tea line is a k-beauty classic! For their play green LE collection, they repackaged the sleeping mask in this cute, blue tube (plus it’s a value size.) They also planted one tree for every purchase from the collection. ⭐ @drbrandt hydro biotic sleeping mask: I’m low key shocked I haven’t seen this on IG before because it has almost 1000 reviews on the @sephora site! The marketing speak in the description is a bit difficult to navigate but essentially it seems like it’s supposed to protect + hydrate skin overnight—I’m good with that 😉 ⭐ @contextskin gloss + repair spray: This is one of those products I didn’t know I needed until I had it! My hair is v long and prone to dryness, so it’s sometimes a struggle to make it look shiny and healthy. Fingers crossed this spray delivers! ⭐ @thisworksofficial perfect legs scrub: Can you ever have enough body scrubs? If you look in my bathroom cabinets, the clear answer would be no. I've opened up the tub and was pleased to see that the scrub has a balmy texture. 1) I'm hoping that makes it easy to use 2) it should also leave my skin nice and hydrated! ______ Hope you guys have a lovely Monday! I can't believe the weekend is already over 😭
Excited to play with all these @fleshbeauty goodies (PR gifted.) I also have their eye & cheek gloss on the top of my birthday to buy list 😉What should I test/ review first? I’m thinking the glisten drops or foundation stick since those are the ones I've tried so far this week. Have you tried flesh yet? ____ PS my Nordstrom anniversary sale anti-haul blog post is live!
