Jean-Frédérick Schall Portrait of a lady, said to be Marie-Madeleine Guimard, ca. 1780. Schall was a rococo painter of sensual dancing women and other frivolous scenes. Mlle Guimard was one of the most famous dancers in pre-revolutionary Paris - on this portrait she is wearing a beautiful dress which is a combination of robe à l'anglaise and robe à la lévite #rococo #art #woman #feminity #18thcentury
Amazing animal hall in the Porcelain Collection in Dresden State Art Museums - I love this interior with pavilions referring to the 18th century fascination with orient 🏯 #porcelain #meissen #18thcentury #dresden #exotic

I spent first days of May in Dresden where I was doing research about the 18th century porcelain figurines. I also visited the new exhibition Power and Fashion at the Royal Palace where we can admire 16th & 17th century court clothes. Richness of their fabrics and embroideries is truly amazing - this is a great experience to see them in reality!
A beautiful day spent in the company of dignifed palm trees 🌴
I wish you all a wonderful Easter spent in a company of people you love the most! 💛💜💛💜For me it's the most important time of the year which reminds of the real point of life 🙏 #easter #happyeaster
Today I was listening wonderful poems of my favourite poet Halina Poświatowska interpreted by amazing singer Janusz Radek and I was happier than I used to be.
Today I spent all the morning doing the analysis of 1780s fashion plates for my bachelor thesis about the history of the robe en chemise - it's fascinating how much this simple dress is complicated! 😌 Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun Duchesse de Polignac, 1783, Waddesdon Manor
Cozy corner in the palace in Pszczyna. It looks like a perfect place for an afternoon tea 😊
