Can’t let #nationalroséeday pass us by without sharing this bucket of rosé from our soirée a few weeks ago. Freezing flowers, herbs or fruit into ice is actually a super simple way to take at home entertaining to the next level. Pro tip is to boil the water twice so it isn’t cloudy before pouring into molds. Store ice in ziplocks in the freezer and pull a few cubes out anytime you need them. Cheers!
Friday evening vibes. These pretty pink peonies from @lisaziesing made my week! Looking forward to venue tours for a 2019 wedding tomorrow followed by some R&R and family time this weekend (And probably a glass of rosé too!)
We had such a fun day yesterday for Harper’s Sip n’ See! Check out my story for more details. Sometimes it’s fun to host a little party for yourself when you spend time planning parties for others. The key to hosting an event at home is to balance and not take on too much. I kept it simple (for me...ha) with just desserts, rosé and a signature cocktail. I made one dessert (recipe in stories) and outsourced the rest to bakeries. Rental glassware made cleanup a breeze. I then also focused on making the signature cocktail a moment with roses frozen in ice cubes, babies breath tied to the coups and a well styled bar cart. Gorgeous flowers from our friends @sweetrootvillage of course finished it off!
Friday means the weekend which in our world means wedding time! We actually have the weekend off but are toasting to all our friends who will be working away this holiday to make bride and grooms wedding dreams come true! Photo @lisaziesing
We are a sucker for good stationery. The invitation is the first glimpse into the wedding your guests receive and paper is a great opportunity to “brand” your event. This suite from @chereeberrypaper was the perfect blend of elegant simplicity mixed with some playful touches for @ellen_susannah. My favorite detail was the inclusion of the couples sweet pup James Franco throughout. Photo @lauragordon
A wedding palette inspired by sea glass. One of my favorite details from this summer soirée is the napkins in various blue hues. Don’t be afraid to step outside the job and do something just a little crazy, who said you have to use napkins that are all the same color? Photo @lisaziesing | florals and decor @amaryllisinc
We love lots of lounge seating during cocktail hour to create an welcoming and inviting space that guests want to stay all night long. Thinking of guests comfort we also included baskets of pashmina wraps to keep them warm on a chilly fall evening. Decor and floral @jacksondurham | photo @lauragordon
Best Day Ever. And it was. These heart shaped programs were a fun twist on your typical fan program for a summer outdoor wedding. A well dressed ring bearer complete with blush suspenders and custom bow tie was the cherry on top! Photo @abbyjiu | programs @stephanieb_design
