This simple sentence has been my way to tell myself slow the heck down for a few years now, and today it's more relevant than ever. Good things take time. It's taking time, but soon we'll be able to safely go out again and see our friends and family. It has taken (too much) time, but we're making strides toward the racial justice and racial equality is long overdue. Right now I'm grateful to take this time. To take this time to learn and grow. To take this time to rest and be healthy. To take this time to connect virtually with those I love. To take this time to clean and try new hobbies. To take this time to soak up the sunshine and sit in silence when I need it. Good things take time. We have the time, let's take it. The good things are coming.

Here's your reminder that you're not on summer vacation, you're living through a pandemic. You have permission to do what YOU need to do to be as mentally healthy as possible and process what's going on right now. Is that meal prepping something healthy? Is that eating another cookie? Is that going on a run? Is that sleeping in late? Or is it just learning how to spin light up orbs around you like I'm doing?? We're all worried about our friends, family, and the world right now. Don't forget to also take care of YOU. ❤️
