Beautiful skull spotted on a tombstone. The stone is now used as a paving stone in a seating area that used to be the site of a church in Canterbury. . . . I'm not sure how I feel about tombstones being used like that - I've seen it quite a lot. In a way, the person is not forgotten. But in another it feels disrespectful. Where is that person now? Surely not under the seating area. And I would never have been able to see this gorgeous piece if it had been removed altogether. So... What do you think? . . . . #ThingsIPonder #skulls
More from the quick drawing lesson at uni. I was warming to it at this point, can see how it would spark ideas. . . . . Do you do this? Does it help you bounce ideas around? . . . . #wecreate #ucacanterbury #maturestudent #quickdrawing #artstudent
Quick drawing lesson at uni today as in drawing quickly rather than a quick class. Drawing from images in couple minute bursts. At first I was way, way, WAY out of my comfort zone. I am a slow sketcher. But by the end of the hour and a half I actually had a couple of images I like, 'tis all about learning to let go and practising mark making, getting ideas from the images rather than trying to make them realistic. I think I'm going to get a lot out of these classes. . . . . . . #wecreate #ucacanterbury #quickdrawing #maturestudent #artstudent
