Volunteers are the backbone of the sport, and without them none of what we do would be possible. Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. CST, join Volunteer Committee Co-Chair Bonnie Kibbie for the Volunteer Open Forum at the #USEAConvention! Hear about the work the committee has done in the last year and contribute to the planning for the coming year. Watching from home? The Volunteer Open Forum will be playing on the member stream!
Max Corcoran is a self-professed “geek” when it comes to the science behind conditioning and recovery of athletes. On Friday, December 7 at 10:00 a.m. CST at the #USEAConvention, Max will bring together the science of human conditioning and recovery to draw parallels with equine. She will infuse the talk with her expertise as an Olympic groom and first-hand experience to provide an interesting and interactive discussion. Tuning in from home? Max’s session will be available on the member stream!
Ask any two USEA members to discuss competitors' and horses' skills required at each level of competition and you will likely receive two widely disparate answers. The lack of agreement often leads to passionate arguments, unprepared competitors at competitions, and horses meeting course questions with confusion. Dan Michaels will lead two sessions at the #USEAConvention on Thursday, December 6 at 4:00 p.m. CST and Sunday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. CST where members are invited to provide their feedback and help develop a playbook with a matrix of competition level versus competitor skills. Those tuning into the live stream are invited to share their feedback with the USEA membership committee! The Sunday session will be available on the member stream. (Full video on the USEA Facebook page)
Join @daniel_coach of the Equestrian Athlete Camps at the U.S. Olympic Training Center at the #USEAConvention on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. to train the 5 inches between your ears and the 5 feet below them! Stewart will start the session with sports psychology and finish with fitness exercises, training the mind and body to help you become a better athlete overall 🧠💪🏻 Those of you at home can tune into the member live stream at 8:00 a.m. Central Time to follow along from the comfort of your living room! (Full video on the USEA Facebook page)
