There is a sense of urgency, a sense of responsibility to coach young athletes (yep they are half my age 🤪🤷🏽♀️🤣) so that they may not go through the many injuries I went through in my younger days. # May you remember me years from now. The constant “hassle” about bracing and lifting with good form. # Getting strong doesn’t happen overnight. And although athletes will eventually get injured in that quest for stronger and faster, my wish to you is that you will still be lifting 20, 30 years from now and remember that old coach who was serious but had your best interests at heart. # And if you are one of my female rowers and ever find yourself pregnant, my wish is that those teachings remain with you throughout pregnancy and postpartum. 🤗💚 #rowers #coach #lifegoals photo by @martwijntjes #momlife #mães #mompreneur #locks
Mom life 🤗💚 sometimes I am beyond exhausted but I wouldn’t trade it for all the world.
There are so many ways to exercise. Sandbags are definitely faves. 🤗💚
Great convo to have
Great post by my friend Gina from the @womenshealthseries #Repost @womenshealthseries ・・・ FATIGUE. EXHAUSTION. DEPLETION. This is easily one of the top reasons women seek care from their physicians. The mistake to assume these people simply ‘need more sleep’. In reality, few people seek care when they can easily refresh with a nap or an earlier bedtime. But, DEEP FATIGUE, is becoming all too common. Causes can be decades of undersleeping, poor nourishment leading to deficiencies, long term use of medications( don’t forget oral conception is one of the most depleting out there!), pregnancies, unsupported postpartum healing, years of breastfeeding, stress levels without any cessation, endocrine disruption... this can involve thyroid and/ or adrenal abnormalities...the list is long and arduous! To evaluate these struggling patients takes time and often a complex approach of labs and lifestyle changes. However, too often these patients have been slighted and have been given medications to treat insomnia, depression, adult onset ADHD, anxiety, chronic pain and other vague symptoms that don’t match what is really happening- a complete breakdown in the body’s physiology. Is this you? You aren’t crazy- but you are exhausted.

#Repost @skofit ・・・ Any type of leak is a sign of pelvic floor dysfunction, but it shouldn’t be accepted as a right of passage for postpartum. Kegels have been given as the one-size-fit-all solution for incontinence. However, just doing Kegels can potentially cause more dysfunction and won’t stop the leaks. We want to train the entire system, not just one part. Our body doesn’t move in parts, so we shouldn’t train it in that manner. # #incontinence #pelvicfloordysfunction #kegels #takebackpostpartum

Nah, more like the fear aka opinions of those who offer unasked for “advise” on how one should raise one’s child. 🤷🏽♀️
