Those ruffles. Working on making this #sagebrushtop into a dress because I have plenty of this light blue linen.

One of my #werkfromhomealong things is done! It's a robe duster thing. I didn't put a belt so it would be more wearable outside of the house when that time comes haha. All french seams 💁🏻♀️ Pattern used is #lahjadressinggown from @namedclothing. Fabric is the Autumn gold heavy linen from @fabricsstorecom . It's so soft and slinky and I pretty much love it. #memade2020 #memadewardrobe #memademay2020 #frenchalltheseams
Right now I'm planning on a new comfy dress, and a robe for #werkfromhomealong hosted by @alexiamarcelleabegg and a few others. I just haven't settled on the fabric. I also have some linen for new dish towels I can't wait to have finished. #memade2020 #memadewardrobe #sewersgonnasew
My fresh off the sewing machine overalls. I have two more planned out. So comfy and practical. Love @helens__closet patterns so much! I'll be cute in the garden. #yantaoveralls by @helens__closet Fabric is Kaufman Essex linen blend in leather gold from @fabricdotcom . It's not the color I was hoping for, but I like it. It's more of a warm khaki. #memade2020 #memadewardrobe #farmliving
Happy Easter from us!! Made the dudes an Easter shirt each and my Easter dress. I always wanted to make everyone wear the same fabric 😂 The big dude's shirt is made from @mccallpatterncompany #M6613 and the little dude's shirts are made from @peekaboopatternshop which was the best $8 ever because the sizes go up to 12 years I think. My dress is a #wildergown from @fridaypatterncompany of course. I need more Wilder gowns especially now. I love to sit around in them and they are nursing friendly. Fabric is my favorite design from vintage JC Penny sheets. Sourced from eBay and Goodwill over the years. I feel like I can't not buy it when I see it.
Roasted a chicken because it's Thursday. Used @moroccochris recipe Chicken with crispy potatoes. Had to sub rosemary for the thyme because I have two giant rosemary bushes and no thyme. Then red potatoes instead of russets. Those crispy potatoes gave me life. #bonappetit #quarantinefood Love meals that don't use a ton of dishes. @bonappetitmag
My skirt made out of a vintage sheet is done! It's so soft like you're wearing ... a bedsheet. 😂 bonus.. it doesn't wrinkle so I'm wallering in it right now. Anyways, I love repurposing old things and giving them a new life. This one was a wearable muslin so I could practice lengthening the skirt pattern on a less expensive fabric. Sheet is Marvelaire Springmaid if you want to search eBay. Pattern is #estuaryskirt by @sewliberated #memade2020 #handmadecloset #memade #memadecloset #flowerpower
I’m happy to share that I wrote a blog post/tutorial for the lovely @spoonflower blog about how I make my Sunny’s Garden soft book and how you can make one yourself! I wrote and illustrated this book back in 2018 and intended to self-publish it on a board book, but never launched my crowdfunding campaign. At the end of 2019 I won a yard of Petal Signature Cotton ™ and decided to do something useful with it which was condense and transfer my book spreads to fit on a yard of fabric. Now you can help me “publish” my book by sewing up your own and of course, I offer them already made as well as customizable in my store. Head over to the @spoonflower blog to read my post! Use hashtags #sunnysgardenbook and #spoonflower so we can see all your finished books! #spoonflowermakers #spoonflower #kidslit #childrensbookillustrator #illustrator
Some more spam of this robe because I wanted to show you the squish it has from the double gauze. I love the texture it gets after you wash and dry double gauze and I love how bright the colors are printed on it. @spoonflower #spoonflowermakers #lahjadressinggown #namedclothing @namedclothing
My newest make is this robe I made out of my own fabric design printed on gauze. I'm never taking it off. Perfect for being a working from home Mama. It's also my most colorful lounge wear piece because I found out as I was folding up all my pajamas ... they are all gray. I have some ideas on how to fix that. 🧵 Robe sewing pattern is Lahja dressing gown from @namedclothing Fabric is designed by me 😊 printed on Organic Sweet Pea Gauze™ from @spoonflower #lahjadressinggown #spoonflower #spoonflowerapparel #spoonflowermakers #memade2020 #namedclothing
Here's an outfit for #sewhappycolor2020 complimentary colors week! It really is a happy one too. It's another #yorkpinafore in one of my fabric designs printed on dogwood denim by @spoonflower #memade2020 #sewityourself #wearhappycolor2020 #handmadecloset
A dress like this has to be photographed outside where the wind can make it dance. This is my first Wilder Gown by @fridaypatterncompany. I made it in some of my Grandma's fabric. Pretty sure it's polyester. The floral was a perfect fit for my taste. Such a lovely and easy dress to make and wear! I didn't have enough fabric to make the top tier as full, but I love it anyway. I have another one in the works. 👀 If you're keeping up, that's the second garment checked off my 2020 to-do list. #memade2020 #handmadecloset #slowfashion #wildergown #fridaypatterncompany #sewityourself
This might be my only outfit for this week of #sewhappycolor2020. We'll see! Analogous week was more difficult for my closet than I thought it would be. I don't really have the in-between colors so I have on yellow, green, and blue today. Also, I should note that I really love this ensemble. Swipe to see how I get away with the analogous color scheme by having my bebe boy wear aqua. 😂 #wearhappycolor2020 #yorkpinafore #welovecolorstights @welovecolors #analogous @katiekortmanart
Blue again, because it's all I got left. Monochromatic was definitely a challenge, but a fun one. I can't wait to do analogous colors next week! #sewhappycolor2020 This shirt is from a men's Western costume pattern #Simplicity2895. I only got it a hundred years ago to make a vest for @internetdrake. Made it short sleeve with a rolled up cuff because that's how I like my sleeves. If I ever make it again I'm going shorten the length and probably go down a size. Even though it's a little bit big, I love it and it will get a lot of wear. The fabric is from Grandma's stash and I think it's yarn-dyed cotton. @katiekortmanart, your challenge made me finish a few WIPs I had so I could wear them this week, so thank you for that! Also, I see I need more pants.
