Jessica & Jeremy // What a couple. These two joined lives when Jeremy stepped in to love Jessica and her newborn daughter Jasmine. They have always considered themselves partners in life, so 15 years later, at their daughter's heartfelt request, this soulful couple joined hands and sealed their union with an official ceremony. Standing underneath birch trees, tucked away from the rest of the world, this sweet couple eloped. They wanted the ceremony to be an intimate celebration between them and their two beautiful children. As I watched their daughter’s eyes fill with happy tears during the ceremony, I couldn’t help but feel the love this family has for each other! And what a gift it was for me to capture it on a sunny day beneath the birch trees. #loragradyphotography
How would you describe motherhood?? It's something filled with so many paradoxes that it can't possibly make sense at times, yet within it's crazy world, it is perfect in its own special way. Today these ladies reminded me what a gift bringing life into the world is, and while I am reminded every day by my own special daughter heart jumped a few times today. I think because it comes down to LOVE. And it's so raw and big and overwhelming when you are getting to know your babies. Love in all forms makes me weak at the knees and I think Candice put it perfectly when she said she can't believe her babes have only been Earthside for one week, yet she can't imagine not knowing them. ❤ an iPhone snap from today because honestly I couldn't wait to share, my heart was just bursting.
Double tap if you agree: anxiety sucks but as soon as you force yourself out of your comfort zone, it all feels worth it! This is my only digital frame from a session last week. I have been wanting to shoot film more for yearssss.... and I finally took the plunge! I don't know why I am so afraid of failure because I know that's how you grow, but still. That anxiety. It gets to me sometimes! Fear of failure, fear of xyz.... here's to a season of stepping outside my comfort zone and taking risks! (Calculated, planned risks but risks nonetheless Hahahah! Baby steps.) Waiting for my first ever scans has got to be the hardest thing I have done in a while. Pins and needles over here!!!! #loragradyphotography
