This is gorgeous!!!! I’m not sure what I’m going to be making with it or even if I can handle the thought of ruining just how pretty it looks right now. It’s positively mesmerizing! This my lovely hookers, is one of the new #scheepjeswhirligig in colour way “sapphire to teal”. It’s 20% Alpaca 80% Virgin Wool, 100% Yarn porn and 450g of mmmmm! Now... what to make?

Hello lovelies! How are you all doing? Can anyone else feel that Spring 🌷 is just around the corner!! Love it! Today I’m having a lazy one enjoying the sunshine and having a moment to myself after a busy week. I wanted to share some pictures from the new @insidecrochet magazine that went on sale this week. I’m going to be writing each month for the magazine and love that it’s propelling my designing! Nothing like a deadline to get your butt in gear! So here’s a WIP shot of my rainbow wall hanging, featured in the latest issue. It’s made using some vibrant shades of @scheepjes cahlista. 🌈
Really enjoying working on the #rainboommal by @miss__neriss It’s coming along rather nicely and I’m finally using these cute @scheepjes stonewashed & river washed minis!
Well this little one is coming along rather nicely! Still not quite finished, but I am in love with him and all of his greenness! 💚💚💚💚💚
I’m at my parents this weekend Poppy sitting and thought I’d dig out my #scheepjescolourpack and join the #rainboommal by the amazing @miss__neriss and the @scheepjes. Of course Poppy is watching over me to make sure I’m doing it right 😂
This little project was a BIG idea.... turned out too big at the time and I ended up having a meltdown and pulling out of the commission it was intended for. Sometimes it just isn’t the right moment and that’s ok. Now feels like I can have another play with it and see where my playing ends up. It’s made with some gorgeous #scheepjesalpacarhythm @scheepjes yummy!
Behind the scenes I’ve been working super hard, the focus being on me and my business ( more on that in the next weeks, all crochet unrelated but hugely exciting to me) and so for the first time in months I’ve started a project, a project to enjoy for enjoyments sake. No deadline, no commission, no balancing with my other obligations. This is purely for a little hobby time in the evenings and again for the first time in months I’m actually enjoying to crochet, as in really loving it! It’s amazing how perception changes when pressure is off. It’s made me realize why I like to crochet, to create and have some reflective time. Can you guess what it is? It’s super cute and super fun, again from @picapauyan ‘s amazing book! 💚💚💚💚
Moved into my new apartment the week before Christmas and so I’m finally starting to get settled. The move from Germany back home to the UK took it’s toll on me, hence the absence, but as mentioned yesterday..... this boy’s back on track! Getting settled into my new place has meant decorating my room and making it my own. I’ve hung some pictures frames on the wall, but still need to get some pictures printed out. Until I decide which to get printed my current WIP is taking center stage.... kind of like it if I’m honest! Love me a granny square! What do you think? X
Hello lovelies! A massive happy new year to each and every one of you. I hope that 2019 brings you all sorts of exciting adventures along with a bucket load of health, love and (of course) craftyness. I haven’t posted, blogged or created in many weeks, I just needed a moment to get the move back to England out of the way, to refocus, re-energize and rethink a few things. I’ve rekindled my crojo and cant wait to get working on a few projects. I have only the one W.i.p, no stashed projects, so it’s really a clean slate along with the new year. I love that!! Thank you to each and everyone of you for the continued support throughout the year, for your inspiration, encouragement and your friendship. Thanks for sticking by me!! I love you all tons!!! Matt xxx
Hello lovelies! I do apologise for not being around much lately, lots to organise and sort, which is resulted in a serious lack of time for hooking and blogging. The move happens within the next days! I’m so looking forward to it and for this “in between” stage to be done. With moving back home I’ve had to have a major sort out, getting rid of a lot of things. It’s been hugely satisfying simplifying my life and cutting down on unnecessary clutter. I’ve gotten rid of a lot of my crochet work (means I have the space to make more, once I’m settled) I’ve donated things to charity, schools.some friends have received blankets and I’ve boxed up my favorites. The whole process made me want to share a few of my makes, as some I will never see again. so I took a few pics before I boxed them up or rehoused them. This is my beloved Tunisian blanket, I made this using a cotton linen blend by wölle rödel back in 2015. It’s Tunisian simple stitch changing colour on each pass. It has a real boho feel and is now rehoused at the local senior home. I hope some hippy granny got it to keep warm as autumn approaches!
Loving my craft room!!! Had to take a little selfie yesterday just before I started to dissemble and sort everything. It may be a little moment before I have a space like this again, so will need to figure out exactly what I NEED and what can go into storage. The move is getting close though, I can’t wait to be back on my home turf..... been along time coming! #excitingtimes
