#fashion #exhibition⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ 'Graduate Fashion Foundation Shelter Project' by @livrenniestyling @liv.rennie explores the concept of 'Renters Rights' while raising awareness of the poor living conditions that lots of tenants have to live in. The concept is based around the words 'neglect' and 'suffocating', relating to how those feel living in unacceptable rental accommodation.⠀ ⠀ See the work in our window exhibition. #fashion #exhibition⠀ ⠀ 'The Fall Of Man' by DMU MA Fashion & Textiles student Fariha Choudhury @f4ri.ha⠀ ⠀ This lasercut lace trim dress is entitled after the painting by Venetian artist Titian of Adam and Eve - this is the original story of Good Vs Evil. This is depicted by character Villanelle, a psychopathic assassin who starts to turn good as she falls in love. Jorja Smith's song based around stereotypes is also used as inspiration as it looks at good people labelled as bad.⠀ ⠀ See her work here and in our gallery windows.⠀ ⠀ Find out more in bio

#fashion #exhibition⠀ ⠀ 'Postural Projection' by Loughborough University @lboro_textiles textile student Siân Meadows @sianmeadowsdesign ⠀ ⠀ In her teens Siân was diagnosed with scoliosis, an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine. Following her diagnosis came an array of body image issues including over inspecting her body and avoiding mirrors completely. ⠀ ⠀ Common signs of scoliosis are uneven shoulders, a sideways lean and asymmetric hips. The spine also rotates, causing a hump on one side of the ribcage. Due to these abnormalities, individuals with scoliosis often find clothes don’t fit the way they were intended. With this in mind, Siân wanted to explore how her distorted body could also change shapes through projector photography; how would the hump on her back or her uneven hips distort them? These portraits developed into digital prints and showcased on 3D models designed and animated by Siân herself.⠀ ⠀ Postural Projection is an exploration of Siân’s unique female form, aiming to encourage acceptance in her physical abnormalities and redefine sensuality in a present-day context.⠀ ⠀ Contexts include: scoliosis, photography, Greek dress and sensuality, contemporary fashion, 3d design and zero waste digital technologies. ⠀ ⠀ See her work here and in our gallery windows⠀ ⠀ Find out more in bio⠀ ⠀ #blender #animation #textiles #scoliosis #cinema4d #textiledesign #newdesigns #design #digitaltextile #digitaltextiles #textiledesign #blenderartist #3d #3dmodelling #3dmodel #3dsculpting #scoliosisawareness #sauk #gotyourback
