I might be home, but the content keeps coming (sorry, not sorry). Looking at flights to see if I can squeeze another trip in this year... make that next week! 🙈
What a weekend ❤️ I'm sure you're sick of hearing me go on, but Amsterdam is beautiful! Fell in love with the architecture. Every building is so wonky, with it's own personality. I found myself wondering how some of them are still standing! They look like they could topple over.
And here we have @leightravers in her natural habitat, surrounded by plants in Amsterdam 🌱😊 Honestly not ready for this trip to be over. So much fun as always with these ladies. And Amsterdam, we need to make this more of a regular thing ❤️
Waking up in possibly the world's comfiest bed 😴 Honestly, could stay here all day, but we have brunch to eat and more sights to see!
It would be rude not to get a drink in the bar of your hotel, when the bar is this pretty 😍. Not ashamed to say we were in here this afternoon, and now we're in a kareoke bar... Because that's how we roll 🎤
Girl band vibes 💃 You can't stay at The Hoxton and not use the photobooth right? I'm sure you've seen this photo already on each of our stories, but I had to post. These ladies are the best travel buddies. I'm able to do all my favourite things - eat, drink, seek out plants, photograph pretty doors.
After an extremely turbulent flight yesterday (looking at you storm Gareth 😠) we finally made it to AmsterDAM! 🇳🇱 Already in love with the architecture, canals, bikes, cobbled streets... All of it basically!
What's better than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? A toasted pb&j!! Enjoyed this beauty at the weekend and honestly, I'm not over it. We opted for the almond butter and raspberry jam, topped with a glacier cherry 🍒
My life is looking a lot less glamorous this week, compared to the weekend. Hoping for more cocktails in wonderful bars this weekend though... But in Amsterdam instead! (Recommendations welcome 🍹)
Not quite ready for the weekend to be over. It's been so much having a girly weekend, trying out new bars, and ALL the cocktails 🙈. Finally got around to visiting Mr Fogg's House of Botanicals yesterday. It's so beautiful inside. My dream bar with hundreds of plants and a botanical cocktail menu (a lot of which is gin based 😏). We didn't stop there though. We had a reservation at Mrs Fogg's Maritime Club later in the afternoon. Should've done a tour of all of them! 😂
Yesterday was a rather good day. We ate and drank our way around London, but first I showed my friends the new area that we live in. Love Highgate Village. This little florist come grocer is always worth a stop 😍
Excited to have two of my oldest and dearest friends visit this weekend. This is the first time they've seen our new place, so naturally we've spent time cleaning and making it cosy. ✨ After a night in eating, drinking and catching up last night, we're ready for a full day of exploring London today.
And relaxxx..! Why we order a food delivery at the precise moment we sit down for dinner, I'll never know 😅 But now it's been put away, we've eaten, caught up on our days, it's time to watch another episode of Pure (highly recommend if you haven't seen it) with a glass of g+t. Don't mind if I do 🍸 • Thanks to @craftginclub this month's box included a @spiritofone bottle and Craft Gin Club have kindly set up a JustGiving page to help raise money for the The One Foundation - a charity providing clean water to some of the world's poorest communities. What came first? The church or the trees? I'm guessing the church, but if so, I'd love to know why they planted these two trees so close to the door. Perhaps they didn't know they'd grow so big? Either way, it makes for an impressive back door of a church! Would love to know the story behind it.
I'll take this one please! 🙋🏻♀️ Can't believe how lucky we were with the weather yesterday. Today has been miserable, but so lovely to be home again.
On our way home yesterday, we stopped off in the Cotswolds to do some sightseeing. Have never been to Stow on the Wold before. Beautiful little market town! Spotted this organic shop and obviously wanted to buy everything 😍
Hoping this little guy keeps on growing 🌿 Have always wanted trailing plants on our bookcase. Also hoping one day that I stop rearranging these shelves, but I just can't help myself. I seem to keep adding more bits and pieces I unbox. But I like that they're a collection of books, photos and ornaments from our travels. It tells a story, albeit a messy one at that 🙈
AD | When the boys are working hard on the kitchen, and it's impossible to make a meal, @white_rabbit_pizza_co to the rescue! 🍕 They also have a bunch of vegan and gluten free options, so they've got all the (pizza) bases covered! 😏 And they happen to be conveniently located in Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Ocado. So no more hunting high and low for your vegan pizza needs.
I've slept for 9 hours straight, without stirring an inch. That never happens! Not even sure why I would be so tired. I've had a pretty lazy week and weekend so far 🙈 We watched Green Book yesterday. A nice heart warming watch, if you haven't seen it yet. And today we're out for a roast. A pretty good weekend if I do say so.
After six months, we finally got around to sanding and staining our dining chairs. We picked these up from a second hand store, but the wood was a horribly bright colour. I'm so pleased with how they've turned out, and how well they match the table. Also pictured, my beautiful new vase and flowers from the girls at work 🥰
And just like that, we're on to the next project! 🔨 The kitchen this time. So I'm reminding myself that it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better, BUT it comes good in the end, and then all the bad is quickly forgotten. Just like how I felt when our bathroom was finished ✨
I've had a lovely, chilled weekend at home. Catching up with old friends and seeing family. And it's been lovely to not be on social media so much. But that means no content, so instead, here's a photo of me living my best life (buying plants) from a couple of weeks ago. Hope you've all had lovely weekends!
Forever changing up what we have on our fireplace. Could really do with some styling lesson. Might have to do some pinning. But I do love this candlestick and vase combo. It just means I'll have to buy flowers forever 🤷🏻♀️😏

Why do the weekends always fly by, even when you don't have many plans? We had a lovely chilled weekend, but it still went by far too quickly. This week is hectic, but looking forward to lots of plans. Starting tonight with dinner at Temper! Have wanted to go to this restaurant forever!
Home sweet home. It's always lovely visiting family, but it's even lovelier coming home and spending a cosy Sunday night on the sofa 🥰. When we got back this afternoon, I had a warm and fuzzy feeling. Do you even get that? Where you feel super happy and grateful, but it just comes over you all of a sudden?!
Saying goodbye to London for a weekend in Birmingham. We're 'car shopping' today apparently. It's funny how I had a car for 7 years, moved to London, haven't had one since, but now feel like a grown up for even considering buying one?!
Last night was fun! 🍹 Finally got around to visiting Bar Elba and got to try a Dip and Flip burger! I can confirm, they're as good as they look. I mean, who wouldn't want to dip a cheeseburger in gravy?! • Thanks for the 📷 @iida_hellgren
Gifted | Sharing a new cocktail recipe on my blog, perfect for Valentine's (or Galentine's as I prefer!) next week. I was inspired by @durhamdistilleryuk cocktail section on their site, and created my own version of this strawberry, gin and tonic medley. Find the full recipe by clicking the link in my bio.
