Getting ready to teach people how to make patterns by hand at #craftcation17 in this room with a patterned floor! Should be a good time!
Well, I'm here! It was a long day of flight delays and solo travel with a tired toddler, but we made it. I wish I could take full advantage of being here, but hubby doesn't arrive until tonight, so Craftcation for me begins tomorrow. One day I'll be able to go to these types of things and leave the babe at home, right all you mamas out there? I both dream of it and can't imagine it at the same time!!
Guys, I'm painting right now and OY I am rusty. I feel sort-of like I've never painted before. It's not a good feeling. The kind of feeling that makes me want to stop and go get a snack or do anything else besides THIS. But I also know that this is part of the process, part of the de-rusting, part of the way to breakthrough and good feelings. And so, I keep painting. Standing up at a weird table in my studio (my painting area had to be dismantled to make room for storage while our new garage/studio is being built), which I've been using as an excuse not to paint. Until today. And so I begin. And so I'll continue. I hope to find my way back through the mud and muck and rust soon!
We've got windows!
I have been going through drawers and closets and all sorts of hidden spots in my current studio as I start getting ready to move into my soon-to-be brand new studio, and all I can say is this: there will be a big sale coming!! Thursday May 11. Paintings and alllllll sorts of products. Mark your calendars!
