We moved to Boston unexpectedly in the middle of Michael’s 7-year residency, not knowing that his research year would take us far from Durham/Chapel Hill and our friends we love so much there. I cried when Michael asked me to consider this move, not knowing the many blessings that would come from it. We have LOVED our Boston year. It was a smaller and quieter family year that grew us together in many ways. It brought with it daily city adventures, 4 seasons of New England beauty, surviving a Boston winter💪🏼, amazing Italian food, American history at our doorstep, filling the gas tank only 5 times, watching Liza Love and Charlie become best friends, a cherished school for Liza Love, a small circle of dear friends, and a welcoming church community. The last 3 months were dominated by COVID 😷 and sadly cut short our bucket list, but we can’t wait to come back one day. We are happy to be bringing a little bit of Boston back to North Carolina with a 3rd baby due mid-October! 🎈

Heal us, Immanuel, here we are, we long to feel they touch Deep wounded souls to Thee we fly, O Savior hear our cry. Summer reading 2020: “Stamped from the Beginning” and “How to be an Antiracist” both by Ibram X. Kendi. I’d love company in reading these books. #blackouttuesday
