One product that I buy way too much of is highlighter! I love the way liquid and cream highlighters look on the skin, and therefore I was really intrigued to try these Cover FX Enhancer Drops. I got the minis in Rose Gold and Moonlight. However, I’ve not been overwhelmed by them honestly. I find them too shimmery, and therefore not the best highlighter if you want a subtle look. There’s always the option to put foundation over the top, but it’s not something I go for everyday, and I still find the glitter particles too noticeable. Unfortunately, these haven’t made it in my top highlighters, the full review is up on my blog if you want to have a read! For reference, Moonlight is a champagne shade (with a silver undertone however, so best for light to medium skin tones) and Rose Gold is a bronzey coppery pink (best for medium to deeper skin tones).
The sun finally came out in the afternoon, and I went into town to pick up a few bits ☺️ how’s everyone’s weekend going? The latest post on the blog is a review on the Lush Hair R&B Moisturiser 💁♀️ I did get this so I could wear my hair naturally in its wavy state, but it didn’t really help manage it. I have been using it more as a finishing product and it’s amazing at making your ends look glossy and healthy. A little bit goes a looooong way, so I honestly can’t see myself ever finishing this pot! It doesn’t make my hair feel scrunchy and it brushes out fine. I find it works as a great substitute for oils. What’s your favourite hair styling product?
My latest post on the blog is a life update. If you want to hear me natter on about jobs, exams, my dry skin (my favourite topic to moan about), what I’m using up and new finds, click on the link in the bio. I know, I make it sound so interesting 😂 On a more serious note, mini beauty blenders are my everything! I literally use them for the majority of my makeup now 💜 I’m also halfway through the Nars Soft Matte Concealer which is a huge thing for me (concealers are the only product I can have several empties of in a year!) ☺️ Although, I just realised, Ginger is pulling a bit too warm on me 🤦♀️ so I might need to get custard/macadamia to mix in a bit. I’ve also discovered Becca Opal, and the Estée Lauder lipstick in Rebellious Rose, both of which I love! 😍 Honestly, Opal gives more of a natural looking sheen than most liquid highlighters I’ve used! 👌
Red flats: yay or nay? 👠 I always thought a pair of red flats would look great with some light blue jeans, or they would really play well with a floral dress. So when I saw these red pointed flats in Topshop on the weekend for £12, I thought I’d give them a go. I know it’s not the same as a pair of red heels, but what do you think? Too bright or nice and vibrant for summer? 🌞
