I’m not even going to pretend that from now on I’ll be up to date on my social media because honestly, I really struggle with making time for it. I know a part of it is probably sheer laziness on my side, but I struggle to do it on the go (1gb of data doesn’t get you very far 😂) and sometimes I’m just so tired in the evenings and you have all these little bits and bobs to do. Then, when I get behind, it gets quite overwhelming. So, if you have any suggestions on being productive on social media, please send them my way! In other news, a dry lips SOS post is up (featuring some old favourites and new finds), who else is suffering from dry lips (or skin) in this rollercoaster weather? (I’ve honestly never known it to snow so much, we had some more this morning!) ❄️
I have enough books on my bookshelf to keep me preoccupied for a long time, but how could I resist these finds from WH Smith?! I got both of these for the grand total of £1.50, and I can’t wait to read them (as soon as I clear my backlog of all the other books I’ve amassed!) I’m currently rereading the Harry Potter series, well I was reading them when I was commuting on the train 🙈 what books are you currently reading? 📚
A new post is up on the blog (www.velvetblush.co.uk) all about the YSL Black Opium Eau De Parfum*! It’s a fragrance that I’ve been lusting after for ages, and so I was glad to get my hands on it (plus it was really easy ordering from Perfume Click and it arrived so quickly - worth checking them out for Black Friday sales!). In my opinion, this is quite a unique fragrance. It actually isn’t quite what I was expecting, so I would recommend trying it out a few times to get a feel of it. The bottle is also gorgeous and let’s be honest, the advert may have contributed a high amount to how much I wanted it 🙈 I can literally hear it now, opium, opium ...
I’ve been a bit of a busy bee 🐝 lately (new job and all 🙈) but I’m so glad to be getting back to blogging (I definitely need to work on getting everything organised in advance though!). To start with, I’ve got a new post up on the Essie Leathers Collection by Rebecca Minkoff*. If you’re not a fan of overly matte nails, these semi-matte polishes are for you! I’ve got all the swatches up on the blog (there’s 6 shades in total - link in bio!). Do you have any favourite Essie shades? 💅
