My people. ❤️ Happy international siblings day y'all. @notlobb @boltonbenjamin @makikii26
We had our first night of live music in Nashville and @listeningroomcafe did not disappoint! Good food, great friends, and phenomenal music! (And a fellow Big D to Nashville transplant!) I can't say it better than Daniel did: I can't imagine how good the professionals have to be if these are the people waiting to make it big here.
[•swipe•] Happy birthday brother!!! If you have the good fortune of knowing @notlobb, I hope you know how lucky you are. He's one of the most generous, loyal, kind hearted, funny, and genuine people I know. I know I'm so blessed to call him my brother AND my friend. I love this first photo because that the heart of who Braden is -- a servant leader. Forever helping others. ❤️
🎶Time to lay down my bets // Oh, I put all my money on you 🎶 .. Don't mind me, just over here obsessing over these photos and this man. 😍 .. 📷: @alysongowdy #wedding #texaswedding #ldswedding
| DAY FIVE of @theshineproject #standupandshinechallenge | • I don't want this to end! I feel so full of light and hope. • This truth above is one of the biggest concepts I've learned this week. Even when the darkness, the fear, the worry, the stress seem overwhelming - one little light can shine and guide the way. • One light has the ability to lead, to light others, to affect change. • I became a journalist to share people's stories and to help improve the world. And somewhere along the way, I forgot that one voice, one person, one light has the ability to change things. To improve things. • I told myself in my letter today: remember you can do hard things. And stay true to yourself. You were born with a good heart -- listen to it. And don't forget to #keepshining.
📷: @predominantly_paleo | DAY FOUR of @theshineproject #standupandshinechallenge | . Real talk: I fell asleep ok the couch before posting last night. But I did the challenge yesterday! . This was my piece of doing something kind for someone I know. Being in a new city, I don't really know anyone. (I know 2 people in the whole city besides by husband.) So, I served the person I'm closest to. I learned this new recipe (which was BOMB!) to make sure Daniel had something delicious to come home to after a long, stressful day at work. . Not pictured: the time spent on the phone with my sister, trying to help her remember her worth. And in case you need the same reminder, I'll tell you what I told her: you can take a $20 bill and crumple it up, rip it in half, stomp on it, put it through the washing machine, or throw it in the garbage -- no matter what, it's worth $20. . Ashley also encouraged us to do something for someone that we don't know. Well, I'm not going to deep dive on that one, but let me tell you -- something small can have a bigger impact than we know. . If you've made it this far -- my challenge to you today is to smile at a stranger, or hold the door, or say thank you. #keepshining
