Right! Let talk motorbiking kit for a sec 🛵🌞🌸(feel free to save this or look out on the blog for a post with all the details in the future). Here are some of the essentials you'll need for motorbiking Vietnam - A helmet (its illegal and stupid to drive without one). Get one that has a visor to keep dusk out your eyes and covers your head fully! ⛑ - Padded gloves. I added these to my kit after I skidded off my bike and grazed my hand 🏩So *touchwood* if I have another accident I won't cut my hands again. - Pollution masks (I use @aqbluemasks cause they're the bestesssst). You don't really need them when you're out in the countryside but you do for in the cities and highways. - Bungee chords for strapping all your things onto your bike (they only cost around 5-10k VND so the more the merrier) - Waterproof bag covers (especially if you're driving in monsoon season like me) ⛈⛈⛈ - A rain poncho for the same reason. Grab one that's kinda like a dress (rather than one with split sides) and it'll keep you drier. ANDDD of course you'll want a cute lil bike like mine to scoot about on! Mine was made by @hondacubexchange 🌸🛵 Some other bits of kit I've been loving are my @locknlockvietnam thermos bottle which keeps my water icy cold all day even when it's sitting under the sun. I also have suncream, hand sanitizer and wet wipes in my basket so that it's easy to freshen up when I stop for a booty break. Another suggestion is to get a set of spare keys cut and keep them somewhere safe so if you have a disaster and lose them you're all good! 🔑 Photo by my Vietnam babe @katietrr #motorbikingvietnam #franmotorbikesnam
Somewhere between Dalat and Nha Trang // Vietnam, you amaze me daily 🌞🌞🌞 This was THEE most stunning mountain pass so far on my Vietnam motorbike trip. I loved the roads to Bao Loc but this was other worldly. I didn't really stop for many photos and videos, but that makes it all the more special because only I have the memories of it. Add it to your bucketlist!! Another photo by @jonnyreadphotography #franmotorbikesnam #motorbikingvietnam
DAMNbri, you fine 👌this waterfall is one of the famous attractions in Bao Loc, and I'd say rightly so! 😍 But Bao Loc had never really been a stop I was planning to make on my Vietnam road trip - some new friends persuaded me to join them to Dalat instead of going to Mui Ne on my own, and this city is a convenient place to break up the journey! Bao Loc has to be one of the most underrated and cool places I've visited - so many hipster stores, bars and cafes not to mention the most amazing and welcoming locals. The good vibes are never ending #baoloc #vietnam Thank you @jwoodyearsmith for the pic!
Best view in Vung Tau, hands town. Do not miss the Light House when you visit Vung Tau!! Also, holla for new friends who are ace photographers 😍 thanks @jonnyreadphotography for snapping this today! #vietnam #vungtau
Sup Vung Tau! Sup giant Jesus! Vung Tau is my first stop on my tour of Vietnam and it is so so nice to be by the seaside after so many months! 💦Believe it or not this Christ statue is one of the main attractions here, super random. What's the most random attraction you've seen?#vungtau #vietnam
THE ADVENTURE HAS BEGUN 🌞🌸🌏 I was successfully able to scoot myself the first leg of my Vietnam motorbike trip! 🛵 zero bike issues / zero traffic scares / 2 monsoon storms AND I got a tour of my friends hometown along the way! GUYS IM HYPED🌞#franmotorbikesnam #motorbikingvietnam
