It’s a road trip up to the lake! Spending the next whole WEEEEEEK in paradise. The only thing not perfect about it, is Tony has to stay home for work. But we’ve got the doodle all packed up and we are heading on the road. See you soon lake life! 🙌🏻
Alissa and Joey had the most perfect weather last weekend for their engagement shoot, and being natives to Chicago, I’m so happy they chose to spend their session in the St. Anthony main area. It highlights the beauty of a Minneapolis perfectly! And I mean, they’re so stinking cute, and their sweet pup Bella got so many smiles! Swipe to see my favorites from their shoot.
32 trips around the sun. What a year 31 was, and 2020 has for sure brought it’s challenges, but I am really looking forward to what this year will bring. Finally, something to freaking celebrate. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
In case you missed it, I practiced and offered some free virtual FaceTime sessions this week. It was crazy and fun and a little nerve wracking not sure how things would work out over the internet, but holy cow it was fun! It was fun for the time being, but I truly miss that human interaction of taking photographs, but while the world changes, so must we. Swipe to see some of my favorite shots!!!
Cheers to Saturday!! Getting things done around the house and shooting an engagement session this afternoon. I personally love these types of Saturday’s. ☺️👋🏻
My heart is exploding for all of these sweet babies being born right now. ❤️
Just over here praying that we can still get married in Italy in October. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
The last couple weeks have been so amazing getting back to shooting in some regard. I am so thankful for all of my clients trusting me to continue to still capture these moments. I am so lucky, and I’ve never felt more blessed to have such an amazing community behind me. This sweet newborn session was my first session back in action and it was everything.
My favorite season is peony season. 🌸🍃
I heard a quote yesterday that talked about not going back to a new normal. We must change and work hard to not lose momentum to support our friends and colleagues of color. I am committed behind the scenes to support our community in many different ways, and I hope you feel that from me too. We all can do our part in many different ways, and I look forward to seeing that going forward. I know the black community has been hurting, and I hope you start to feel all of the support you deserve. My goal as a photographer is to support and capture more diversity in my work, and I want any person of color to feel like they are respected and beautiful. I know that is what I’m capable of and even if it’s a small gesture, it’s something that I can do to create change.
Does anyone just look at their fur baby or actually child and wonder how they can be so perfect?!?!
Love still wins. And this couple deserves it, and the recognition of the happiness they deserve. So happy we have become friends, and I cannot wait to do it all over again in September!
I have so much to say but really do not know how to write it down. All I know is that if change doesn’t happen right now, my sweet mixed racial family, my niece and nephews and our future kids will be just at risk for their safety because of their skin color and I am not okay with that. I am very aware that I grew up and am still a white privileged human. I know Tony even mixed has had issues being judged for the color of his skin. But let me say this. I am not okay with racism. I am not okay with what happened with George Floyd. I do believe in humanity, and I believe in prayer, and I believe the good outweighs the bad. I pray for peace and God to protect our families and children. I respect those who protest, I do not respect those who inflict violence on each other and our city. Please pray for our city and our children, and our world.
Just magic. So many happy tears for a couple who refused to let Covid cancel their day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Kelly!!
Katherine and Michael, I know this day was supposed to look totally different for you, but I am still so thankful that I can be there today to photograph as you stand next to each other and still profess your vows to each other, along with your family. We will celebrate today, and party next year. #covidbride #covidwedding

Up early having coffee at the cabin outside on the deck, listening to the birds chirp and the sun rise. I’ve felt a lot of things in the last couple months, and today I feel blessed we got through it, and that we can only go up from here. 💕
Officially back to shooting today and mask and all, my gear is headed out for my first newborn shoot in months! I cannot wait to create some magic for my sweet family today. Happy Monday!
Body positivity. It’s no secret we hit a pandemic and all of us stress eat and drank and laughed about gaining the covid-19. I worked my @$$ off the last 9 months to lose all this weight that I was so proud of. Not going to lie, I woke up this morning and I felt pretty down, but I’m going to refuse to let myself feel down, and work on giving myself a little bit of grace and get myself back on a schedule. So I got a little extra pudge around my waist during a pandemic. What of it? 😂🤷🏼♀️
Dreaming about what kind of wedding shoes I’m going to get. I imagine they will look a lot like this. 💕
