b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . Does anyone else get really irrationally irritated when someone asks you why you own so many books? Or, if you really need to buy another one? Every book is different, and I read different genres depending on my mood. Surely you can never have too many books...right?! . So, I'm not sure where the sun has gone that finally arrived a couple of weeks ago, but it looks like another grey day here! I'm hoping the rain will hold off for long enough that we can go for a family bike ride in a little bit and then the girls will both nap this afternoon. That way, I might be able to sneak in some reading or writing time for an hour or so! . Happy Sunday, bookstagrammers! I hope you've all had excellent weekends so far...anyone else think it's gone super quickly though?! I hope you're all managing to find plenty of time to get lost in your books!
b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . Don't get me wrong, I love a 'real' book as much as the next person, but sometimes a Kindle is just more convenient. For example, I just finished A Column Of Fire, and I can't really imagine lugging that one around in my bag with me!! I mean, I actually listened to that one, but still...! . Have you guys read it? My sister raved about it, but I found it more of a romp through the big events in history with some characters thrown in to make it interesting. So I didn’t think the character development was very good. What were your thoughts? . Happy weekend, bookstagrammers! We're currently trying to decide what we should do with our day, as the weather is pretty overcast and rubbish here but the kids will go crazy stuck in the house all day! Currently trying to work out if I can persuade Mr Moore to take the kids out and I can curl up with a book for the next few hours. It's looking unlikely if I'm honest...
b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . You know that feeling when you finish a great book, and you're so happy to find out what happens at the end but you also know that you'll be hard pushed to find another book that's as good?! I seem to be having that feeling a lot lately. Anyone else?! . We've had a pretty chilled day today, the eldest was as preschoo l- can’t believe next week is the last week of term over here! I did manage to get some good writing done this afternoon during nap time which was fab! I can’t wait for Mr Moore to get back this evening as I'm planning to do some exercise and listen to The Moment Of Lift on audiobook. I also finished The Sun Is Also A Star Yesterday...I really liked it at the start but it slowed down and didn’t hold my attention as much towards the end. . Happy Friday, bookstagrammers! I hope you've all had excellent weeks and have managed to get lots of reading done so far! Welcome to the weekend...!
b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . I feel like this stack of books is a good physical representation of what my tbr looks like! I'm forever adding new ones to the top of it and it's definitely in danger of falling over! Anyone else feel the same way?! . We've had such a busy day at Moore HA today, the girls have had swimming and gymnastics! I'm praying they'll both nap later on so that I'll get a chance to get either some reading or writing done! If they don't, I'll definitely be getting lost in my kindle after they go to bed this evening! . Happy Thursday, bookstagrammers! I hope you've all had a great week so far and have managed to find plenty of time to get lots of reading done! If not, then what are you waiting for?!
b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . Does anyone else tell themselves that they'll just read for 5 minutes before starting another task, then look at their watch and realise it's been about 2 hours? It really is a but of a problem in my life, but I seem to just keep doing it! . The eldest went back to pre-school this morning and I managed to get some reading done. I've just started The Sun Is Also A star and I can't wait to see what happens next! Then, shockingly I also managed to get some writing done during nap time this afternoon. It's rare that I get some reading and writing done in a day! . Happy Hump Day, bookstagrammers! I hope you're all having excellent weeks so far and are managing to get plenty of reading done. What are you reading at the moment?
b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . I love my desk set up, I could sit here for hours...if I didn't have two kids under the age of 5 trying to stop me! It's meant to be my writing nook, but sometimes I just can't resist getting lost in the book I'm reading instead of the one I'm writing! Where's your favourite place to read? . I finished The Cruel Prince last night, it was so nice to read some fantasy again, as I haven’t for a while. I really enjoyed it but didn’t quite live up to all the hype I thought - the first half was slow, the second half super quick and then it ended very abruptly. On the plus side, it was much more political than I expected! If you've read it, what did you think? . Happy Tuesday, bookstagrammers! Mr Moore's away for a few days and it's definitely a shock to the system getting back to normal after Alice's visit and then Memorial Day weekend! I hope you've all had great days and have managed to get loads of reading done!
b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . Please tell me that this happens to other people and I haven't finally lost the plot? I'll often fall asleep reading, dream about the story or the characters and then wake up confused about what I read and what I dreamt! . Happy Memorial Day to all my American followers! We've had a lovely day so far, we went to the parade in Rye this morning and then @marketsquarestitches came over with the kids for a BBQ. Then, I managed to get some writing done during nap time, which was excellent! All round, an excellent day! . I hope you've all had great starts to the week and have managed to get plenty of reading done. Happy Monday, bookstagrammers!
b.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . Books on books on books! Do you think it's ever possible to have enough books? I've never understood people who say things like 'Why do you have so many books?!'. I mean, isn't that like saying 'why do you have so many songs on your Spotify?!'. Anyone else find that an odd question....?! . It was the first day back to normality at Moore HQ today, as Alice flew home last night. The girls had a relatively quiet morning (I think this week took it out of them!) and I managed to get some reading done which was lovely! I'm reading The Cruel Prince at the moment and really enjoying it so far. Have you read it? . Happy Sunday, bookstagrammers! I hope you've all had lovely weekends and have managed to fit in plenty of reading in! If you're in the US then have a great Memorial Day Weekend, and if you're in the UK then enjoy the Bank Holiday!
B.o.o.k.s.t.a.g.r.a.m . Anyone else feel like life would be so much better if we could all just spend one day a week reading? Not having to worry about anything else, just getting totally lost in the world of whatever book you were reading at the time. Sounds like bliss to me. . We have had a full on day for Alice's last day in the States today. We headed out to Newburyport, got Lobster Rolls and Ice Cream at a classic American Diner and we've just stopped for a coffee break at The Coffee Factory. I'm not sure who's more exhausted at this point, the adults or the kids...! . Happy Saturday, bookstagrammers! I hope you've all had great starts to the weekend and have managed to fit in plenty of time for reading. I'm hoping the girls will snooze in the car on the way back and I can sneak some reading time...
