I believe in celebrating the simple things in life, the journey you're on, the milestones you've reached and simply who you are. I believe in finding (or making) adventure in ordinary days and to never stop trying new things and exploring new places. I believe the best moments are the ones that are unplanned, with the people who mean the most to you. I believe the perfect date night involves pizza and beer (or a margarita) I believe photography should be an experience, not just a product.
I wanted rose gold shoes to wear on my wedding day. I think I scoured the internet for countless hours and went to every store I could think of to find a single pair of shoes that tied in with the theme of our backyard/orchard wedding with rose gold accents. I knew no one else would care, but for some reason I was in bride mode and I searched and searched. I ended up buying a pretty ugly pair from Sears of all places on clearance the week of my wedding. Well, it rained all day on our wedding day. One of my favorite memories was coming in the house with my bridesmaids after our bridal party pictures to wash all the dirt and grass off our shoes before the reception stated. We just laughed at our flat hair that was once perfectly curled and the spots on our faces from where the rain washed our makeup off. I never let that stuff get to me because I knew at the end of the day we were married and I ended up barefoot and threw my trashed shoes in the garbage. Just sayin... don't sweat the small stuff. #jminstachallenge
Elaine + Evan, married yesterday on his grandparents property on the bayou. Complete with a waterfront ceremony, a light adorned tent and lots of meaningful touches, like their wooden watches and bowties and a wooden arch he made from an old walnut tree on the property!
