A few months ago Ashlee Cevallos showed up at our door looking to volunteer without kitchen experience. A few weeks later we asked her to work part time for us to fill a gap. It wasn't long before she quit her other job for a FT job here. Today, Ashlee ran the kitchen by herself. #letsdolunch #mealsonwheels #circlegame
Today's Christmas Dinner was Flank Steak, mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. They you to all the volunteers who came out today to #sharethelove
In an unexpected turn of events, our Executive Director, Kevin Ressler, has been home recovering from surgery this week and has been receiving #mealsonwheels as client! In this video clip he reveals what food was delivered to him in his first meal from us at Meals on Wheels of Lancaster. The menu, on this particular day, we served a hamburger with a side of baked beans & asparagus as our hot meal. In the brown bag, he received a chef salad, yogurt, juice, milk and pie for dessert. We look forward to Kevin's return to the office and-- of course, hearing more about his experience as one of our clients.
