I’m not really one for celebrating the ordinary. Birthdays? Just like every other day. Valentines? No way, we love each other extra all the time. Now Mother’s Day? —— Okay, let me explain what I mean by “ordinary”. From the minute I found out about Emilia, it all felt normal. The entire pregnancy: just like every other day, nothing out of the ordinary. Don’t get me wrong, bringing home an extra human from the hospital wasn’t our norm, but it FELT normal. It felt like she was always supposed to be with us. In fact, it’s hard imagining a time that she didn’t exist. It’s like she’s been here all along. So, even though today feels blissfully ordinary, I’m soaking in this EXTRAORDINARY experience and letting this girl warm my heart, one smile at a time. Happy Mother’s Day!
That’s our girl!
What’s summer without some dancing in the woods?
Never a dull moment
