Prepping for tomorrow’s wedding day and editing this pretty wedding!! This is the first June in 4 years that I’m not over worked, stressed out and I don’t have a double header every weekend!! I remember before moving my business to VA the thought of not having as many weddings scared me but now I’m so grateful that I have extra time in my schedule.
Thanks to my sisters encouragement, going on Day #3 to being healthy!!! Clean eating, gluten free, very little diary only during breakfast (hey I’m trying my best) and no alcohol at all. I’ve already noticed a difference 🙌😳. I’m not in pain and I’m amazed how full I get with the amount of extra water I now drink. Being diagnosed with a thyroid disease this year and knowing some of the things I once loved is the reason my body is so sick is enough to make a lifestyle change. Gluten is one of the major NO NO’s for thyroid diseases and I’ve also reached a point where I’m just tired of dealing with the effects of eating it. Yes I get gluten foods are yummy but it’s also silly to keep eating it if it causes tortured pain. This is not easy but I know it’s the right choice for me. #cleaneating #healthylifestyle #thyroidproblems #glutenfree
The brides getting ready room is just as important as the rest of the wedding day. It’s where she will step into her dress and look into the mirror one last time before saying I Do! The best rooms have neutral colored walls (white is ideal), clean natural lighting from big windows for flattering skin tones. If you ever wonder why photographers shut off all of the lights before shooting the bride it’s because they want even lighting on your skin. Lights combined with natural window light will make parts of your skin look orange and the other parts blue which can’t be edited out.
When you have the best bride squad! Seriously these ladies were all smiles the whole day and I had the best time photographing them! How gorgeous are these bouquets with ribbon 🙌😍🌺
Life is all about experiences and opportunities! I’m so grateful this year I made sure my wedding schedule was more slow-paced with less weddings and longer gaps in between them. After having that go go go work ethic for the last 4 years with my personal life taking a back seat it’s the best feeling when you finally have the time to take on new adventures when given the opportunity. 2018 may just be the best year yet!!
