I survived this weekend 🙌🏼 Marco went away for a Bachelor party for a college friend but right before he was supposed to leave he got in a car accident :( he's totally fine but it left us down to one vehicle and the headache of ICBC and a rather crazy Friday morning. Then Saturday I had a 12 hour wedding day in 34 degree heat!! @jessicayarwood and I rocked it and had the greatest time ever!! The wedding was amazing!! Felt like we were in a Disney movie all day, especially cause her entire playlist was Disney 😍 Slept over at my parents last night to soak up thejr A/C (and cause I hate sleeping at home without marco, mostly cause the dark is scary) and my AMAZING mom let me sleep off my wedding hangover!! Today consisted of Captain Underpants (more air conditioning) which had an hour and a half of every toilet, poopypants, fart, underwear joke imagineable and had Luca laughing so hard no sound came out and he was crying and both kids yelling tra-la-la for hours after...... And a BBQ at my sisters with a kiddie pool and wine :)
When you find an unedited folder of Moraine photos, I lose an hour editing them 🙈
Made it back to Johnston Canyon....and this year I remembered to put a memory card in my camera 🙌🏼
The best part about your best friend being your second shooter? You get to bring her on work trips :) #allthewine
This guy puts his family first every single time. He plays catch whenever asks, puts a pause on work to paint Sophie's fingernails. He learned how to braid hair and he's working on being patient if Luca goofs around a bit while playing sports 😂 But most of all, he's been the one behind our unique lifestyle. With both of us being self employed and not wanting to depend too heavily on daycare, we split work and parenting and housework 50/50 and he ROCKS his part. I love how much the kids get to have him in their lives and the adventures he takes them on. He's our hero and he inspires everyone who meets him. We love you Marco! Happy Fathers Day!
Just over 3 years ago I took a before photo. I had no set date of when the after photo would be taken, I just knew that one day I would get to a place where I was proud of my body and semi-confident in a bathing suit. Yesterday I finally took that photo...(Swipe if you want to see the before and after! ⬅️) 3 years ago, I emailed @dhprins (the greatest strength and conditioning coach you could ever ask for) and asked if he would make me a workout plan. We are now 7 plans in, and I have learned so much about my body, strength training and what my body can do. Dave doesn't just answer a question, he educates you in a way that makes you excited about training and you want to go workout more. It's magic I tell ya! Then 12 weeks ago, I started a healthy eating plan with @jenn_473. I did 4 weeks of strict macro counting and 8 weeks of an @rpstrength cut and lost 15lbs. It was the strictest meal plan I'd ever followed and I am soooo proud I actually stuck to it! The increase in energy, in quality of sleep, in strength while training and overall health far surpass anything I've ever tried! This is already the longest post ever, but I'm so passionate about this. Lifting heavy WILL NOT MAKE YOU BULKY! I weighed 186lbs in my before photo and I weigh 183lbs in my after photo. And I lift heavy. I can now squat my body weight, deadlift allllmost 1.5x my body weight and I still only have baby muscles....although my butt is growin' 😍 The biggest lessons I've learned is the importance in putting your health first, finding a form of exercise you can fall in love with, and that Dave is right it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. Training takes time. Body changes take time. It truly is a lifestyle not a quick fix. Don't trust anything that says it'll get you bikini ready in 6 weeks. Treat your exercise times like important appointments and don't ever let anyone ever tell you girls don't do that or girls shouldn't look like that what the heck are we supposed to look like?!
