Prototype number 4. Five ply with a nine ply tapered beam laminated into the lower section of the board. Same topside as a normal board. Lighter than a seven ply and strong as a nine ply. Adds extra wear on the tail with the extra plys. Also eliminates wheelbite with a built in riser and thinner edges act like full clearance wheelwells.
Last year started talking to @barfcomics about a few graphic ideas for Pennswood boards. I got the disaster wrong but graphic seems all too real right now. Full top graphic on left flips over to reveal what’s going on underground for the bottom graphic.
Quarantine Construction. 5 ply with a 9 ply center beam. Strong as a nine ply board but lighter than a 7 ply. No toxic glues or fiber inserts. 30% of the wood is from the scrap pile.
Been like a month of Sundays. Missing the crew @mikethedeeter @sydney_rex @briangilhousen @mello83fool. Doing what I can myself with help by @tracycavmcd. There are a number of boards for sale on our Shopify. I lowered prices on everything. Boards for 10$. Link in bio

Wheelchair Transfer Boards help individuals move from the chair to an automobile, bath or bed. These boards are typically made of wood or plastic. Very plain and boring. In these times we are looking at what we could do for the medical industry. While not needed as badly as masks or ventilators these colorful boards could provide something to those who need to use them everyday. Made out of the same materials we made skateboards from. Graphics shown are just examples using prints from recent boards we’ve made. Thinking about a way we could make these available as donation to children’s hospitals.
Custom stained by @mikethedeeter for @riverratskateshop to screen print themselves a few months ago.
