Is there such as thing as the truth? Everyone perceives the world differently. We all have a lens that is colored by our past experiences, beliefs, and knowledge (or lack of knowledge). What we perceive as being the truth may not match up with someone else's truth. Our idea of the truth may change over time as our experiences and knowledge grow. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Nobel Prize-winning 20th C. author Andre Gide is best known for fiction and autobiographical work that examines his quest for the truth while exploring different sides of his personality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #truth #andregide #coloroftruth
This Op Art Flower coloring page is a great way to teach students how curved lines and shading can create form. They are also just fun and relaxing to color. A splendid way to ease into summer :-) #coloringtime #opart #prismacolorpencils #artlessonforkids #isitsummerbreakyet
If you'd like to try a little experiment, first show students the 2 sunflower pictures side by side and ask them which one they like best, have them write down their reasons why. Then do the art critique as a class. Generate as many words as possible to describe the paintings and then compare and contrast the paintings. Finally, ask them the same question about which painting they like best. Have them write down their reasons why again. Hopefully, you'll see that their vocabulary is much better and their reasons are more thoughtful. #artlessonsforkids #artlessons #artcritiques #artcritique
Here is the gradient practice sheet I used with the op art flowers.
Both kids and adults will enjoy coloring these op art flowers. Use them as a fun and relaxing reward, or use them to teach the art technique of creating a color gradient. #opart #coloringpages #prismacolorpencils #artlesson
