A few weeks ago I was watching our 10 year old daughter Chloe do cart wheels along the sparkling sea. Once she grew tired of that it turned into building sandcastles and chatting. We talked about rainbow looms & healthier eating & then into us deciding when we got home we were going to try to cook some healthy recipes that we could make together. She wanted to call this post Living Life Bakeful which I think is perfect! So here we go... our first experiment, a sugar-free remake of Rice crispy’s treats! Brown Rice Cake Batter Crispies We used -Pillsbury sugar free yellow cake -keto sprinkles -one degree organic food gluten free sprouted brown rice crisps cereal -La Nouba no sugar added marshmallows -Virgin coconut oil. We warmed 3 tablespoons of the oil in a pan on medium heat. Added two bags of marshmallows (came in a 2 pack) stirred until the marshmallows were melted. Added 2/3 a cup of the cake mix and then tool off heat and stirred in 5 cups of cereal & 1tsp. sprinkles. Quickly we pressed the cereal into a sprayed 8 x 8 pan. We used cooking gloves because who likes to have their hands glued together with marshmallows? (Ok... maybe us.) Top with another tsp. of the sprinkles. They’re really just for color (we weren’t giant fans of the taste) We let them cool & cut in squares. They were actually really good! Not sure how they stand up the next day they seem to get pretty hard unlike regular rice crispy treats so eat them the day you make if you try them. ❤️ Very happy to be back on Instagram btw to catch up!
Let’s go 2020! I’m so excited for all that’s in store. Excited for new opportunity, fresh insight, wisdom & revelation in all areas! In order to make room for this I will be eliminating social media starting Jan 1. The hardest part will be not seeing updates from all of you but I’ll be looking forward to catching up soon, most likely in February. In the mean time to reach me you can text, email (
) or use Facebook messenger username: Colette.gorgas . Happy New Year everyone & cheers to you & all God is doing in your lives!! ❤️🎉
We finished painting our dining room set this weekend!! This is the same set handed down from my parents- the one I grew up eating around. It’s revamped & ready to roll for its next leg of the journey! (Except for the 1 piece of glass I bumped into & broke while painting it 🙈) Looking forward to new memories being made over calm conversation and flavorful food- a fresh slate to practice & enjoy gladness & graciousness. Just like 2 verses that come to mind- Proverbs 16:24 “Gracious words are a honeycomb sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” & “ go eat your food with gladness and drink your wine with a joyful heart” Ecc. 9:7 ... I am ready!

Sunny Happy (Friday) Vibes!
Visiting this beautiful public beach for the first time. You can’t beat Florida beaches. 🌊🍃
- I haven’t been baking as much as usual the last year because we’ve been on the go like crazy! We have 3 boys and 1 girl -Jackson (21)Hunter(18)& Mitchell (17) & Chloe (9). Hunter & Mitchell are 18 months apart, both play football & both have been or are currently being recruited to play football at different colleges- so we’ve been traveling a lot, visiting some pretty awesome places! I can’t wait to see how God’s amazing plans for all of them play out. (Jer.29:11) Our purpose as our kids moms is eternally important & so significant! If it was the only thing we ever did it would be enough. Here’s the recipe. I found it somewhere & made modifications. 3 sticks butter ( I actually used a combination of light butter, Coconut oil & spread butter 😯 b/c that’s all I had!!) - 4 TBSP. Sugar - 1 cup (1 can) sweetened condensed milk - 3 cups flour - 2 tsp baking powder - 2 dashes salt - Bag of mini chocolate chips Blend butter & sugar- blend & stir in dry ingredients then chocolate chips. Baked 350 10 minutes. * every oven is different( I used the convection setting on my oven and only baked 8 minutes. ) * Let cool & enjoy!
I’ll take as much of this as I can get! “HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].” Psalm 91:1 AMPC
