Oh sweet girl, we made it. 365 days. You’re officially a toddler, but you’ll really always be my baby. The last year together we’ve grown immensely and we’ve all learned so much. Thank you for being everything we never thought we needed, ending that there so I’m not sitting here crying. ❤️😭
For some reason I’ve been up since 2am... making it to midnight tonight seems very very questionable. But I’ve been going through all my 2019 wedding images and realize I’ve been neglecting blogging (as usual) and have a ton of images to share. Making one of my 2020 goals to blog once every two weeks! So here’s to many more blog posts in my future.
Cozy at home sessions making me want to redecorate and renovate my house. 😂🤦🏼♀️
I’m in that daze between Christmas, New Years where I have no idea what day or time it is...anyone else with me?! I also randomly got a few blog posts ready from the fall. I’m terrible at sharing family photos but this family is too cute not to share, especially this toothless smile.
Signing off to celebrate this ones first Christmas! I’d say more but having her first Christmas and her first birthday in one week is leaving this mama very emotional. Can’t wait for the next few days jam packed with family and friends. Merry Christmas everyone❤️✨🎄#thenixonchristmas
I find as a photographer one of the most reoccurring questions is, “How did you get started in photography?” I don’t have one if those stories that involve taking pictures at a young age or their parent or grandparents was a photographer. But it came from having a terrible memory.. My journey started around 13/14 when I realized that most of my childhood memories stemmed from photographs and I really didn’t have many memories if there wasn’t photographs of it. So that’s when it all began, constantly taking photographs on vacations and at family events. Then came the self-portrait era cause well it was easier to hit a timer then ask someone to stand infront of my point and shoot camera. So, I started taking selfies before they were selfies and that lead to eventually friends and family letting me take their photos. And then one day my dad said “You should go into photography”, a few months later I was gathering a portfolio and enrolling in Grant Macewan.... and now we are 130+ weddings, 500+ lifestyle sessions, 1000+ houses photographed. And somewhere in between all those shoots and wonderful clients, I kinda forgot my why But when I saw this stream of light. It just called my name, so here I am; no makeup, unwashed hair, just a simple streak of light and a napping baby. 😂 And well if you made it to the end of this ramble. Thank you for being here. ❤️
Just some pretty little details on the leather jacket the bride had her name painted on. ✨❤️
Doing all the running around today including mailing out this wedding 🙌🏻. Anyone else still running around like mad to get everything done before the holidays?
