Part 5: That about wraps up my day! It was pretty tiring after getting treatment today. But I just wanted to end my day with a picture of other medications someone with IBD can take. Thanks for following me throughout the day! 💜😊#crohnology #IBDayinthelife #IBDetermined #crohnsandcolitisawarenees
Part 4: It's dinner time here on the East Coast. I'm helping myself to a portobello burger tonight! (Not going to lie, kind of feel like a Master Chef right now. I mean just look at those knife skills 😏) All joking aside, diet may or may not influence your IBD symptoms. For me, I keep a mental list of foods I can enjoy occasionally, and foods I should avoid at all costs. Overall, I tend to avoid greasy foods and try to eat healthy whenever I can. Some of my friends with IBD have tried a gluten free and/or lactose free diet and it works for them. Everyone is different, and change in diet may or may not help. 🍽#masterchefkajal #crohnology #IBDayinthelife #IBDetermined #crohnsandcolitisawarenees
Part 3: Getting medication is not always fun, especially when it takes a while. I try not to waste my time by doing something productive, if I'm up to it. Recently, I have been having problems with my insurance company. It's a daily reminder of how we can't take health care lightly, and need to take action. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is working hard to prevent discrimination for chronic illnesses in health care, but every voice matters. Part 2: When the weather is nice, I like to walk by this little pond in my neighborhood. It's nice to get some fresh air before the start of my day. If you are feeling stressed out about your health or just life in general try to find some time for yourself, whether that means doing yoga or just going for a walk. Mental health is just as important as physical health. ☀️ 🕶 🦆 #crohnology #IBDayinthelife #IBDetermined #crohnsandcolitisawarenees
Hi everyone! My name is Kajal and I'm going to be taking over the Campus Connection Instagram today to give you an insight towards what a typical day of living with IBD is like! I'll start by telling you a little about myself. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when I was twelve years old, and it has been an uphill battle. But I'm determined not to let anything get in the way of my dreams. I'm going to be a senior at Rutgers University this year, and I'm studying biology in the hopes of pursuing a career in the medical field. Join me for a brief look at my day? Ready?! Let's do it! #crohnology #IBDayinthelife #IBDetermined #crohnsandcolitisawarenees
