Memories from Morocco 😍 〰 I loved the riads in Morocco! They are so unique and pretty. This one, Riad Maktoub, was the only one with a pool, which felt a little weird in the middle of the desert 🌵 🤔 〰 Morocco definitely has had the most amazing accommodations I've stayed in. The peace and quiet of riads in the middle of all the noise was so nice that sometimes I would have preferred to stay in instead of exploring 😄
Did you know that one of Edinburgh nick names used to be Auld Reekie, aka Old Smokey? 〰 Back in the 17th century the current Old Town of Edinburgh was covered in smog and had a pungent smell of chimney smoke, waste and rotting corpses...! 💀 〰 Today the gorgeous city smells lovely though, trust me 😄 But don't you just love the stories old cities have??
Hardwired for adventure! Outdoor recreation capital of Canada! 〰 Squamish has many slogans, all of them related to adventure and for good reason. Just look at this view from downtown Squamish, the mountains are gigantic and so close 😍 〰 But when adventuring out there, be careful ... I was sad to learn of yet another fatality in Squamish 😔
Nisu story time! 🐾 〰 Nisu is incredibly fascinated by water but he is also terrified of it 💦 😭 When he was a wee lad he was on a little dock and saw another dog swimming. Then he excitedly jumped / walked off the dock and splash! 💦💦 〰 Nisu of course panicked, tried to climb back on the dock but couldn't. Eventually he realized that he can swim to the beach. Check out the other photo taken after he made it out of the water 🙊 〰 After that he has not put a paw on water, he goes around puddles, he hates rain and most certainly does not swim! But he loves the beach and water fountains 😄
Please take me back here 🌴 〰 I loved Isla de Ometepe in Nicaragua, such a peaceful place. I just had some time off from work but I feel I could really use a change of scenery soon! 〰 Quiet beach, warm water, cold drinks and a hammock. That's all I need! 😎
The story of where I've lived and why ends here, for now! Last summer I finally moved to the West Coast of Canada, which had been the plan for years 🇨🇦 〰 British Columbia is exactly as beautiful as the legends say 💫 This photo is from Vancouver, although I live about an hour north in the middle of the mountains. 〰 I do go to Vancouver often though, and it's always a pleasure with these views 😍
The story of where I've lived and why continues! Check out my previous four posts for what came before... 😉 〰 In 2017, I got a job on the other side of the country and decided to move to British Columbia! 🌲🌲 〰 This photo was taken somewhere in Saskatchewan while driving across Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta to the Pacific Coast in BC 🚗And btwI loved driving in Saskatchewan, doesn't get easier than that 😂
After living down under for a while it was time to cool things off and move to Canada! 🇨🇦 〰 I moved to Ottawa in November 2011, got a temporary work visa, then became a permanent resident in 2013 🎉 I lived in Ottawa for 6 great years and actually only started to truly appreciate the city after I left. 〰 My journey to becoming Canadian continues as I have a citizenship application almost ready to be submitted 💫 Maybe this time next year I'll have two passports?? 🇫🇮🇨🇦
