Hi friends, I'm Jessica! I'm a wedding and portrait photographer for the wild at heart and I just recently starting mentoring other photographers! I absolutely love what I do and I can't believe I get to live this dream of mine every single day! I wanted to share a few fun things about Nick and I that you all probably didn't know. ✨ We laugh a whole hell of a lot every time we're together, probably because I said something really dumb but that's besides the point! 🌲 I'm totally not the cook, he is. He loves spending time in the kitchen and right before I left to head back to PA we spent time making homemade meatballs and spaghetti sauce together. The recipes have been passed down from generation to generation in his family and I'm thankful the first time we got to do it together was in our cozy apartment. ✨ We're both really outdoorsy people, which is my favorite. We share the same passion for camping, hiking, hunting, and basically anything that will get us outside. I'm really looking forward to going back to Montana at the end of July for a couple weeks so that we can experience Glacier National Park in the summertime! 🌲 Long distance is hard on us but I wouldn't trade this life for anything else. Through this we've learned to really listen to one another, be there for each other with 1800 miles separating us, and learning how to truly love while remembering the time difference and our crazy schedules. It's not easy but I'm thankful to be in love with my very best friend. ❤️ - If you’re feeling up for it, comment below and tell me one or two things you love about your better half!! ✨
I’ll always love the Blue by Betsey Johnson bridal line of shoes. Liz might have only worn these for like a half hour but I’m so glad she decided to go with a gorgeous pair! 😍✨
This mornings in person mentoring session with Michaela was an actual dream. We met at the cutest coffee shop, Pressed, and I'm pretty sure it's now our new favorite place! Michaela and I chatted about so many different things but a few things being how to attract your ideal client, finding your tribe, Instagram tips, and how it's 100% okay to be a multi passionate person. The time we spent together today was full of so much laughter, vulnerability, and honesty. The three things I think a business should totally be built on! We wrapped up her mentoring session with some headshots and they're freaking adorable. This scrunchie loving, Office watching, sticker obsessed, adventurous photographer is going places you guys! I can't wait for you all to watch her journey alongside me. ✨
Still in complete awe that I got to witness one of my absolute closest friends marry the love of her life yesterday. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much at a wedding! I’m beyond thankful I was there to capture these precious memories for them. ❤️✨
Today you can find me clearing out my inbox, sending off galleries, and prepping for this weekends wedding! One of my closest friends is getting married and I can hardly contain my excitement, while rain is in the forecast I know it’s going to be perfect! ✨ - Photographers, show of hands if you’re shooting a wedding this weekend too! 👋🏻🙋🏼♀️
It feels like just yesterday I was taking this gorgeous woman’s senior photographs and now she’s going to be a momma! I can’t believe how time flies but I’m so excited for this next chapter of her life. ✨ Destiny, you are so dang beautiful! - MUA: @emitchhair_mua
Last night on my Insta stories I asked you all if you wanted to see more personal posts or pretty pics and to my surprise, personal was chosen. So, I wanted to start off by saying thank you. Thank you to every person who supports this small business of mine. Thank you for saving up for your sessions because I know this is something that's wanted and not needed, for prepping perfectly for them, and for always sharing and tagging me in your images. Thank you for supporting me, encouraging me, and wanting me to document the personal important moments in your life. Because of you, I was able to literally save this little girls life. Last month, Callie was experiencing a lot of issues with her liver. I thought for sure the vet was going to call me and tell me that she just wasn't on this Earth anymore. It was terrifying, I was constantly crying, and @nicksavoia was the most patient man with me. He would reassure me that she'd be fine but it was SO hard to go through. I had to force feed her, give her medicine she hated, take her on a six hour round trip to see a specialist, and wait weeks to hear the results of what was going on. Thankfully, everything seems to be going in the right direction and I couldn't be more thankful for that. Those of you that know me like from the inner workings of me being know how much my dogs mean to me, she's my fluffy kid. Just know that when you support a small business you are supporting a human being with a family. So, when you support me, you are giving me the chance to pay for each medication and expensive vitamin I need to keep this sweet girl in happy spirits and on this Earth and I can't thank you all enough. My heart is full and I wanted you all to know just how dang full it truly is. I appreciate each of you, those of you who have had a wedding/session with me and those who have yet to schedule. Thank you. ❤️✨
✨ Doesn't matter if it's diamonds or twine Forevermore, I'll be yours and you'll be mine. ✨ - I’ve got a thing for oval diamond rings and I’ll never ever get tired of photographing them.
I love seeing the way couples can vibe together. Jessica & Austin moved naturally with one another, I seriously didn’t have to pose them once. They were just aware of each other and the love they share. She moved, he moved. He moved, she moved. It was natural, joyful, and so dang romantic. Today’s sweetheart session at Penn State Main has turned into one of my favorites ever! ✨
Happy Birthday to the sweetest man I know. Thank you for always encouraging me, being my number one fan, and for never giving up on me. I am so thankful you are the one that binge watches Marvel movies with me, that you without question hang up all of our pictures and wall art (I know at times it’s excessive), and that you choose me day in and day out. I can’t wait to grow old with you, I love you so much! ❤️🌲
For those of you wondering, I’m back in PA and will be until the end of the year with occasional traveling out of state/country! If you’d like to set up a session, please send me a message or email, I’d love to chat! ✨🌲 - Thank you @abbeykrysiak for being my insanely talented counterpart. I’m so happy you got an iPad. 😉🖤
You're listening to podcasts that are for creative entrepreneurs, scouring the internet for blogposts that relate to you so that you won't feel so damn alone, or maybe you know the direction you want to head in but don't know how to get there just yet...Have you been nodding your head to every single one of those points? If so, I know how you're feeling because I've been there. I used to spend countless hours looking and grasping to anything that might help me with my business or push me forward to the next stage! But everything I read came off confusing or like it didn't totally apply to me, to where I was at in the very beginning. That's when I found that mentoring with another photographer was what I needed to help me grow, to help me learn, and to give me the confidence I was yearning for! I truly don't want anyone to feel as lost as I first felt when I started out, which is why I still can't get over the fact I'm offering mentoring for photographer and creatives! With a mentoring session we can go over how to properly use your camera in manual mode to how to market to your ideal client. No matter where your business is at, I promise to take you by the hand and help you in the best ways possible! I certainly don't know it all but through all the education I have invested in over the years, my trial and error methods, and everything in between...I've found things that truly work for me and I believe they will work for you too! If this sounds like something you're into...send me an email to set up an in person or Skype session and let's do the damn thing! ✨
Just a daily reminder and a little life advice on this Sunday morning. ✨ - Handlettering by my incredibly talented friend @abbeykrysiak 🖤
My smile would be this big too if I was ever this freaking gorgeous while pregnant! I mean, come onnnnn. Isn’t Marissa just glowing? 😍 Her and her husband, Benny, will be welcoming a sweet baby boy in July! ✨
Our hometowns are only one hour apart but here we both are in Montana...small world, isn’t it? On Monday, Ashley will be leaving Great Falls to start the next chapter of her life in Georgia and I’m so excited for her! I’m really glad I was able to soak up some girl time with her and capture one of her last nights here in this beautiful place. ✨
My favorite parts of a wedding day told through Ellen and Joes big day last year! 😍 I just love these two! #jessicahustedweddings - ✨ I love starting out each wedding by shooting the bride and grooms details, these small details actually play a big part in telling their love story! Ring shots are up there as my favorite things ever sooo you already know I start with those first! ✨ Bridal portraits & their couples portraits - I cannot get enough of either! On Ellen and Joes day it rained so heavy in the morning and while they were totally fine having all of their portraits taken in the gorgeous cathedral they got married in (I was too) it was such a surprise to realize Mother Nature was going to give us the chance to take outdoor portraits too! ✨ Speeches, first dance, and cake cutting - Two of these three things normally have me in tears. I love getting to know my bride and groom even better through the speeches their loved ones give! Most of the time I’m crying and laughing with them too! The first dance, I’m always eager to hear the song they picked and if I’ll have to hide behind my camera as I cry through it, lol! & Next up, the cake cutting! This is the part where almost all of my brides and grooms look at me and say “So, how do we do this?” One of my favorite questions of the day because we all always laugh together. No worries, guys! I’ve got your back and I’ll be sure to always find a plate or a fork if yours ends up missing from the cake table! ✨If you’re a photographer, guest, bride/groom, what’s your favorite part of a wedding day? - This post was totally inspired by my sweet friend @christa_rene! I saw she shared her favorites and I needed to do the same. Thanks girlfriend for the inspiration! 😍
Golden hour in Montana is unlike anything I’ve ever shot in. It basically wraps right around you like the best type of hug and then before you know it, it’s gone because it went behind the side of a mountain. I love every single thing about it but I love even more that these two literally chased light with me tonight. Rachael and Jake were some of the first people I met out here and I couldn’t be more thankful for that! Adventuring this evening was too much fun! ✨⛰
• Constantly, consistently, continually, you. 🌲❤️
I just had the best Skype mentoring session with @shaebfierce! We chatted about everything from shooting manual mode to session pricing and I’m hoping it left her feeling as inspired as I am right now! I truly love teaching and this has gotten me even more excited for my in person mentoring sessions this summer Photographers, I still have a few more spots available this year! If you’re on the fence about investing into education, send me an email because I’d love to chat, cheer you on, and just be there for you! - Shay, I cannot wait to see where your business goes! I am so beyond proud of you and I’m here every single step of the way. ✨
Fluffy flowers, pretty bridesmaids, warmer weather...I am so ready for it all! - Erie friends, I’m sorry about all the snow you’re getting. I hope you all stay cozy and warm! Meanwhile, I’ll be enjoying the sunshine here in Great Falls. ✨
Reasons I’m posting on Instagram right now... - It’s been 3 days since my last post. - Y’all haven’t seen this photo yet. - That seemed like a good enough reason to post it. - It’s also white so I feel it goes well within my feed (if you beg to differ, just ignore this little bullet point). - Pretty good Instagram posting strategy if ya ask me. ✨ Happy weekend my friends.
See how freaking happy I am in this photo? Well, that’s how I’m feeling right now realizing that in a few short weeks I’ll be back in Erie photographing weddings, portrait sessions, and hugging all of my favorite people!✨ I know in just about every post I’m talking about being back home but guys, I really can’t wait!
Things I cant wait for: To hug my mom in a few weeks, for my wedding season to start so I can hug all of my beautiful couples, and I reaaaaaallly can’t wait for all of the adventures I have planned this year that I’ve been keeping quiet. 😏✨
That one time I shot a gorgeous wedding in Mexico 😍✨.
I might miss these beautiful greens and warm summer days but boy, I love a good excuse to stay inside all cozied up. This spring snowfall here in Great Falls sure is pretty. ❄️
Just wanted to let you all know, it’s been a couple weeks since my big launch but I still really love my new online home. ✨ Okay, that’s all. Carry on 😌
Don’t stop, don’t give up. Do what’s best for you, best for your business, best for the life that you wish to live even if you have to make hard decisions. Always work towards those big dreams and goals. Keep going until you’re so so so proud! ✨
