He is risen! ✝️ Happy Easter everyone!
Meet Professor Griffo. 🙋🏻♀️ Ok, more like “guest speaker” Griffo 💁🏻♀️ BUT today I was able to check a HUGE item off my personal bucket list. ✅ I was given the opportunity to speak with a business class, about Instagram marketing, at my alma mater. 👩🎓 . I shared in my Insta stories earlier this week, but about seven years ago I did this vision/goalsetting diagram, and one thing on the list was to be a guest speaker back at my old university. I originally had envisioned myself speaking at the teaching credential program, but life is kind of funny and the opportunity arose for me to speak to a business class on the topic of Instagram. . @vanguardu means a lot to me, that season of life molded as a person, gave me lifelong friends, and a bazillion memories that I still hold dear to my heart. . I spent several years at Vanguard. I received my undergrad degree in business administration, my teaching credential, and my Master’s in Education all at this university...6 years total, and a lifetime of lessons and memories. (Cheesy, but true.) One lovely side note is my Mom @bakingwithgigi works there, so she swung by today and got to hear the tail end of my presentation. Make sure you check my insta stories to hear the full story and to see her sneaky photography skills. 😂😍 Thank you @jenrussum for having me! 💕
I beg you. Don’t try any sort of foot-painting craft this week. 🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️
One of my favorite traditions with my kinder class is making this cupcake Mother’s Day card. They make the cupcake craft and then answer some questions about their mom underneath it. Their answers are always so precious... and honest. 🤭😳😂 Find the Mother’s Day card link in my profile! 📷 @the_sharpened_pencil
TELL ME: How can/do you use plastic Easter eggs in your classroom? Leave me a comment below! 👇🏽 . Here’s my idea- use Easter eggs as a way to spice up a center activity this month!!!! It’s simple, yet changes things up, which makes the students excited for something ✨new.✨ . The activity above is found in my “April Academic Sensory Bin” activities. The students pull a card, say the word, and color the corresponding egg with that same word on it. Normally, the cards are just laying on the table, or in a sensory bin, but this month you can put them in an Easter egg to change things up a bit. @prekwolfpack says this is the her favorite corner in her room- I’m honored because #applesandabcsdecor is making its debut showcasing the rainbows her students made! 🌈 . She used the phrase ”paint your own rainbow” from my St. Patrick’s Day Bulletin Board Set. I’ll link it in my profile! https://bit.ly/2U3XfOl
